I hope he’s proud of himself putting a mickey mouse exhibition game before he’s club, shocking carry on in my opinion.
What’s this, Jim?
He didn’t try very hard to be fair. Maybe touched the ball 3 times.
Next time you’re appointed captain of your country, tell us what you’d do.
I thought this was going to be about the newsreader.
If i had a county final with my club, i wouldnt be playing a mickey mouse exhibition game the night before.
He doesn’t have to, to have an opinion. He shouldn’t have played and shouldn’t have been put in the position. It was avoidable. It’s Paul Early who is to blame.
Murphy isn’t the first player to have been in that position. If you play the series without every player who is still involved at club level in some form or other you’ll have a very thin squad to pick from, and in that case there’s no point playing it. Murphy wouldn’t have had the captaincy if he didn’t want it.
Surely Donegal should ahve had their county championship played off by now? Tyrone had their final last week and they went out of the championship on August 25th whereas Donegal went out on August 4th. If they started their club championship even three weeks after they went out of the championship, they should have had it played off by now.
You cannot blame a player for wanting to play for his country.

Ya, CB’s are also to blame. But you were specific about the captaincy. Early didn’t need to make him (or anyone) captain till this week. By last weekend even you’d have a better idea of the club set up.

Promotional obligations I’d imagine necessitated the selection of a captain a number of weeks in advance.
Horse shit. You can send whoever you want to do that.
1-4 for Michael Murphy so far as Glenswilly lead Killybegs 1-7 to 2-3 by a point.
How much from play?
0-1. How much was he fouled for?
Michael Murphy “ruling the roost”, according to the respected Gaelic Games commentator, character, caricature and storyteller Brian Carthy, who is present at the Donegal SFC final.
A Michael Murphy-inspired Glenswilly crush Killybegs by 3-19 to 2-6.
“Michael Murphy simply outstanding”, according to respected Gaelic Games commentator and fan of the All-Ireland u-21 championships, Brian Carthy.
Michael Murphy has completely clamped his detractors, you’d have to say.
I don’t know, I wasn’t at the game
