Lads all the medals you mention are tainted FFS! You’ve proved my point for me. Nobody respects those medals, anyone in the know, knows there’s question marks over them and as such, they will never be fully accepted.

If you want to win you do it fairly you train hard etc you dont disgrace youself,family and your country. I dont know how she sleeps soundly at night.

Ask Allison Wagner does she believe Smiths medals are tainted.

There’s a huge difference between sports psychology and doping and it’s crazy to compare the two. Never mind the fact that doping contravenes the rules of the sport, it’s usually illegal. There’s a difference between winning at all costs and cheating at all costs.
And Locke there are plenty of other countries at it, what makes me ashamed is the fact that probably none of them have an 80% cheat rate for their olympics medallists. We’re by no means alone but by God it’s embarrassing. And to see it ignored or even hidden by some media personalities is just disgraceful.
All I can say is thank God for David Walsh and Paul Kimmage.

There’s no distinction. It’s not alright to condone doping by saying that it shows how much someone ‘wants to win’. It is cheating. You are using banned substances to improve your perfomance over that of your competitior. It’s as simple as that.

My point was that people will not remember the details, they will just remember the results, they won’t remember that I missed the match because I was on holidays either if you want to bring details into it

the ref turnd a blind eye to the rules on numerous occasions during the match when tipp were the perpetrators of some blatant/cynical fouls…
