2-0 MLS at half time. Some poor performances out there but Pressley takes the biscuit. Absolutely shocking stuff from him.
Done nothing with the ball except for one McDonald shot that hit the post from edge of box. Other than that a poor, poor effort.

First half ratings:
Boruc - 9 superb penalty save, one other brilliant stop with his face.
Wilson - 3 useless with the ball, marking non-existent. Like the guy but that’s an awful effort
McManus - 6 should have done better with the first goal but it was lost before he had a chance to intevene. Some decent brave blocks
Pressley - 0 genuinely zero. Lucky not be sent off for reckless challenges when already booked. Gave away the free kick for the second goal with a terrible foul because he was nutmegged. This was after selling himself for the first goal and bringing incompetence to a whole new level
Naylor - 6 used the ball ok but needs to be tighter to O’Brien defensively
Hartley - 4 what a mistake after the free kick? They hit a free, it hits the wall and rebounds to Hartley who thinks he’s clever and plays it straight back to a guy waiting for it in the box to finish
Brown - 6 good on the ball, seems to have played out right a bit with Hartley inside which is plainly wrong.
Donati - 6 nice touches as well but they’re bossing the middle
Jarosik - 4 typical. Some ok things, some brutal things, and when he gets a chance he dives
Jan - 5 hasn’t looked interested. Maybe not his fault because we haven’t had the ball. The one time he had the ball at the edge of the box he teed up McDonald well
McDonald - 5 really needs to learn to hold onto the ball better. Was fouled twice luckily when he was about to give it away. Hit his shot very well though, unlucky to strike the post.
Bandage - 0 Didn’t even show up online. Barstooler.

Christ, there’s riots on all the Celtic forums over last night’s performance with the usual barrage of Strachan out reactions.
Obviously it was a poor display but it’s fooking pre-season.
Some people are incredibly annoying and stupid too.
That said if he’s playing Pressley and Hartley in competitive games a few weeks down the line then I’ll start to get worried.
We need to start moving players on now so there’s less excess baggage in the squad and then strengthen in a couple of key areas.

Yeah the reactions have been way over the top. That said it was impossible not to notice how bad Pressley was last night. It was genuinely awful, even without being influenced by not liking the guy. He simply isn’t good enough. Nor is he anywhere near good enough.
