More GAA Shame

Do two adults have to stay with him in dressing room ?

I won’t answer that, it’s something I was going to ask this evening at training. I gave him my hoodie and baseball cap to wear and told him go over stand by his mother.

Ref should go to town on him with a civil suit. Clean him.

That was the start of the Match lads - this is incredible

Turn on today FM

Headbutt 10 seconds into the game

I’m in a whatsapp group with someone who was supposedly at the match. They said it wasn’t a headbutt.

Maurice Deegan on today fm now

you’d think that has to be personal and not related to the game then… a follow on from a previous game or something not related to sport… that really is unhinged.

If this fella was capable of this it’s unbelievable that the club would allow him near any team, let alone an underage team

you’d usually hear of it and it’s a heated exchange or in the heat of the moment and a lad loses the head, or the blackness comes over him.

this is cold calculated violence, and what looks like unprovoked. Fuck me.

Very well spoken by Maurice. As good a ref as the game has seems

A Laois man is well placed to talk about disciplinary matters.

Saw that/ madness

Mate, maybe let’s not discuss Limerick referees

Lads abusing refs need to be careful what they wish for. We’re already struggling with a lack of referees and that will only be heightened with this sort of carry on. Who’d actually want to be a referee? A stressful way to earn a few bob.

In 90% of cases lads are only clutching at straws when blaming the ref as well. There are occasions where he’s made a blatant mistake that alters the outcome of the game but most times lads are going buck ape over a marginal call.

Lousy

What kind of unhinged individual do you need to be to do something like this. Shouldn’t be anywhere near an underage team. I’ve played all my life and I’m also on the sideline now. To walk out and engage in an act of violence against a referee is not the act of a sane person. It’ll dominate the media now for the wkd but the GAA need to act from high level on this one. Can’t leave it up to the county board. A zero tolerance example needs to be set.
