Well, as I argued with the wife, if he asked people for money and they gave it to him, weā€™ll then they havenā€™t a leg to stand on.

If he asked people for loans, did they get the paperwork signed? Otherwise itā€™s just a gift. Does it really matter what the money was used for?

Would it not be fraud saying he needed it for cancer treatment when he didnā€™t?

A very similar case in Wexford a few years back, claimed wife had cancer, he was sentenced to 1 year in prison
