More Shame for the GAA #8382945 ... Or should this be in the snowflakes thread?

Abusive letters sent to amateur players, telling them to commit suicide. James Horan sent letters to the Guards. Anthony Daly phoned up a Clare fan over one letter and threatened to drive round his house and presumably kick the shit of him. Fair fucks to him I say.

Has anyone on TFK been sending letters?

Micheal Donoghue does his own thing…

what kind of saddo gimp sits down and writes a letter. most of the saddos are abusing on twitter

The only bad thing about it is it costs a fortune buying magazines just to cut cut the individual words and letters out to make these

Only a clare lad would put his real name on hate mail

you should get him to send them back to you once he is done reading them so you can re use the letters for the next one. Maybe a self addressed envelope, but make him pay for the stamp.

Heard Tomas O’Se talking about this on the radio this. What kind of sick fuck does this? Can’t understand this. Whatever about at the game some folks get hot under the collar but a couple of pints and most are fine but who the fuck sits down and writes a letter? Thats a whole other level of crazy

Men and women of letters , that’s who .

Sick fuckers.

Kerry fans are animals. Pos was slated for saying it but its a fact

The interview Paidi did on that on the Marina in Cape Town is great tv .

Desperate stuff. it’s aswell tyrone players can’t read

well that is the message that has gone out there and those in power in the county should be in more control of this

has this thing been over egged from a Kerry point of view ?

turns out limerick, galway, mayo and whatever counties Anthony Daly is referring to, could be clare could be Dublin are no better. The postmen of the country appear to be busy distributing hate mail

I attended Croke Park, Clones and Fitzgerald Stadium for the super 8 games and didn’t hear one word of vitrol directed at Eamonn and his management team, I was on the pitch in Killarney last Saturday night where Kerry fans mingled with players and members of the Kerry management team after the match on the pitch and indeed the Kildare players and management, didn’t witness any animal like scenes. some Kerry players were signing autographs up to a hour after the final whistle. The majority of Kerry players were socialising down the town with fans Saturday night in killarney. This is not consistent with a view that the Kerry fans are somehow animalistic towards the team or management. Jez it didn’t end as well for Mickey Whelan and Tommy Lyons in Dublin.

There is obviously a few looneys and full on types sending letters in a lot of counties but a categorisation of Kerry supporters is out there now that is not consistent with what I witnessed at the recent games. perhaps a bit more focus on this majority would be helpful. it was a bad bad year for supporters of the Kerry senior football team in terms of results, on the round they were decent towards the players and management.

I heard Fitz on off the ball last night. He backtracked a bit on it.

Did Joe take a photograph of a letter on top of a nice solid wooden floor?
How TFK!

A Kerry man would never say anything to your face.

They’d go away onto the radios and into the pubs and cut the back clean off the players and the management.

Totally neutral / uninformed viewpoint here. Fitzmaurice played on all of above, almost invented the hate mail story, to deflect from his own shortcomings. Which probably weren’t too numerous anyway. He won an AI after all, but maybe hadn’t the vision / smarts to develop their new crop. Who mightn’t be as good as we’re led to believe anyway?
