The new trend for camogie is a double french plait. I’m really struggling with 2 x plaits and 2 x kids. Mrs Bradley can sort it in jig time, its takes me ages.

I’ve given up. She won’t let me anyway. She doesn’t trust me for some reason. I brush it after her bath or she’d be like countryman.
I leave all arrangements to her and her mother. Her mother is currently away working. She had it in a pony tail coming out of the side of her head this morning.

Sure most families have both parents working now and kids stuff is shared, I’m glad that my wife was busy around the time that our middle one was born. She went straight back to work & study after that birth, I had no other choice but to be involved in all the daily stuff with kids. It’s the best thing that ever happened as after the first I kind of said sure you’re off work you mind the child.
Most lads will stand back if allowed I’d say?
I didn’t have a choice to to look after a newborn and 20month 5 evenings a week after work. I’m very, very close to them as a result of that.

Good for you, mate. Seeing you tagged me in, I feel obliged to confirm my complete neutrality in this debate.

I really enjoy TFK’s fathers casting aside the forum’s usual caustic barbs, insults and sarcasm to share doe-eyes stories about elements of their parenting.

Equally I find it amusing when other posters ridicule them, attack them for it or wind them up.

I also enjoy the arguments that ensue in the aftermath. I like how we circle back to abusive posts, the defensiveness, aggression and, of course, threats of violence and nasty personal attacks are always welcome.

many moons ago i attempted brushing one of my daughters hair before school and it resulted in screams. I haven’t even attempted it since. If the youngest needs it done and the wife isn’t there, I would get one of the older two girls to do it. I’ve even sought out the neighbor a couple of times if they weren’t around…
