More Things That Are Wrong, just plain wrong

I can usually take a joke or quip at my expense but this is still too raw*.

*not my arse.

Probably out last night celebrating the camogie.

She might be dead

Very sinister comment given your reputation

Very unconventional attempt to resurrect the MBB shtick and weird attempt to try and shoehorn it in here.

@Bandage have you spoken to the lady since?

Her appointed start time was 8am - let her in and then head off to work. I sometimes strip the bed in advance so she can focus on changing the bed clothes rather than having to deal with this aspect too as part of her wide ranging task list. I’m a lovely guy but that’s by the by.

I had a premonition that she wasn’t going to show up when I was eating my muesli at around 7.30am and decided NOT to strip the bed as I didn’t want to have to get my life partner to make it up again this evening. Note she had already left at 6.45am ahead of 7am spinning class.

Anyway I was awaiting the cleaner’s arrival and nothing. I watched the 8am news on Ireland AM. I watched Paul do the sport (laughed again at how brutal the camogie standard was yesterday), Alan do the weather, twiddled my thumbs and then sent her a text at 8.15am to see if she was coming or delayed or whatever. She hadn’t replied by 8.23am so I said fuck that and went on my merry way to work.

Got a text around 11am saying sorry about this morning, something came up. A really throwaway, casual, dismissive tone either not acknowledging or realising the gravity of the situation - I might have to iron my own shirts this week now. Fucking bitch.

Are you seriously considering a progression in life with your current life partner?

Makes the bed and all, ha? Ours just cleans the bathrooms, the kitchen, the sitting room and the stairs & hallways. She’s extremely unreliable and if I don’t whatsapp her 2 days before she’s due to remind her, she won’t turn up. She’s a lovely lady though so I cut her a lot of slack. I’m pretty cool like that.

You seem way more on the level than old man tight arse @Bandage. I hope you are paying her a decent hourly rate in cash and not forking over coin to some cunt of a worker exploiting agency.

Are you still pay the lady way above the going rate?

This sounds very much like an alibi is being constructed.

I know this is a distressing time but you need to stay focused when faced with such a trauma. I haven’t ironed a work shirt in years. M&S non iron shirts are the business. Throw them into a short wash (unless u sweat loads) and make sure the wash only has a few shirts. This further reduces creasing. if u have a tumble dryer this will further reduce creasing.

its €100 for 30 minutes

Yeah mate, we took her on through hassle.com about 4 or 5 years ago but she left them shortly afterwards so I just pay her the same rate directly into her bank account.

Depending on her favourites :joy:
