na never again, wasn’t up north in years and won’t be, told them all , any wedding funeral or christening I’ll pass, lost my son and best mate long time ago so no north of Galway for me and that’s only for a CCFC match, bittersweet memories tbh

That’s my buddy, while on remand in crumlin road Gaol terrorism as they termed it went dow in the north west by 38 plus percent, official figures in some book about the troubles, he was some boy, left a big family behind,decent man ( know some on here won’t understand that but for the most volunteers during the war we’re ordinary ppl who reacted to an extraordinary situation, as was the same down here during the WOI)

Coming out from the city Centre yesterday along the dock road and turned off the roundabout just before the cement factory to get onto the motorway to head to Dublin only to be confronted by a lovely new Clare reg car reversing back down the slip road. Obviously she (and it was a she) wanted the raheen turn off but went one too early, panicked and said to hell with other road users. A small apologetic wave and on she ploughed forcing another 4/5 cars into evasive action.
