I got tickets for this yesterday. My first Leinster game since I stopped supporting us for the Pool Stages of the Heineken Cup. I think Glasgow Warriors in maybe 2005 was my last game. Anyway, looking forward to giving these turnips munsters from Munster with their ugly, weatherbeaten faces a good beating on Sunday night. Why isnā€™t Rob Kearney playing?

I am also looking forward to Sunday evening in the RDS. Low Lieā€¦

The European Champions have named their team

Munster team v Leinster in the Magners League on Sunday at 7pm:

(1-9) M Horan; J Flannery; J Hayes; P Oā€™Connell; D Oā€™Callaghan; D Ryan; D Wallace; J Melck.

(9-15) T Oā€™Leary; R Oā€™Gara; I Dowling; L Mafi; R Tipoki; D Howlett; K Earls.

Replacements: (16-22) F Sheahan; F Pucciariello; J Oā€™Sullivan; A Quinlan; P Stringer; P Warwick; B Murphy.

Promises to be some game. For the sake of rugby in the country I hope that whoever steals the show will be from these shores rather than the Southern Hemisphere.

Dont give much of a toss about the result as the Magners League is only secondary anyway. Just a good performance from Sexton, McCormack, Oā€™Leary and Earls will do me.

Surprised the Laigheans have left Kearney out. Should be a cracking game.

Spot on Mac. Some serious Irish talent on show though, pity Ledge is on the wing again and no place for Kearns though. Still should be a stormer, pity Quinny or Leamy aint starting, two good lads to start a row there.

connacht got a hammering in cardiff this evening 56-0ā€¦

watched the leicster wasps match just there on skyā€¦good old game wasps gave a good second half showing to come back and win 28-19ā€¦a nice few irish on showā€¦geordan murphy and johnn murphy both starting for leicsterā€¦johnn scoring a tryā€¦geordan was solid but never really got going while johnn seems a good prospect on the right wing, likes to come off his wing and find work and is solid enough in the tackle although i would say he is short of a bit of pace for test rugbyā€¦

jeremy staunton started for wasps and it was the first time i had seen him play 80 minutes at 10 since he missed a lst minute penalty to relegate harlequins a few years agoā€¦he gave a good performance kicked well 23 points in total for the lad from galbally including two drop goalsā€¦he certainly seems to have matured as a player and looked comfortable at out halfā€¦

eoin reddan came on with 25 minutes to go and was livelyā€¦box kicked wellā€¦former garryowen hooker damien varley came on and scored the decisive try for waspsā€¦

on a side note i was very impressed with both tom croft and tom rees and the two of them will be more than likely be in the lions team/squad this summerā€¦both have huge potentialā€¦

should west brit sports have a seperate forum ?- rural sports are bad but colonial sports are even worse

rugby is only played/followed by west brits above in dublinā€¦in munster its a game of the peopleā€¦but never let the facts get in the way of your ignorance ncc:pā€¦

Oh for the love of sweet devine jesus, youā€™ve just sealed IOTM with that fooking ridiculous bullshit Pukeā€¦

yeah, rog is sich a man of the people;)

would you care to elaborate franā€¦what do you find so ridiculous about my last statementā€¦are you saying that it is the private school social elitists that make up the majority of munsters fan baseā€¦

whats the story with the British (& irish) lions- is that something to do with the union of Ireland & britain? why arent the French involved if its northern hemisphere going to S africa

i was in S africa last time the british lions played there & the hotel the B lions were staying had a big flower display saying welcome to the british lions - i passed the hotel 2 weeks later when the team was there a week 7 the display was still there- why didnt the west brit Irish players remove it

This ā€œin munster itā€™s a game for the peopleā€ bullshit, and you think the Leinster fans are up themselves.

Iā€™m a Leinster fan, because Iā€™m from Leinster, and I didnā€™t go to a private school.

i donā€™t know ncc i wasnā€™t there so i canā€™t speak for the players involvedā€¦why donā€™t you write a letter to either eric miler or paul wallace to find outā€¦

a strongly worded letter??

in fairness a good proportion of leinster fans are from the private schools jocks club and leinster rugby would be seen as far more elitist than it is in munsterā€¦

use whatever vocabulary and tone you wish nccā€¦
