A lot of Leinster supporters come from that private school image but donāt fool yourself into thinking that all munster fans are decent hay piking, cow milking, sod turning, turf cutting, honest to goodness harmless poor auld feckers who are just happy to have a rugby team.

when did i ever even allude to thatā¦there are plenty of wannabes at munster matches but there is a far greater mix of fans from a wide range of social demographicsā¦
how many people were attending rugby matches in ireland involving any of the provinces ten years ago padjoā¦granted there is a bandwagon element involved with munster as there is with any successful sports teamā¦
how many people were supporting wexford footballers and attending football matches 10 years agoā¦

Never mind ten years ago puke, there was fuck all at Wexfords first championship match against Meath this year (or most of the rest of the games).
thats what i am sayingā¦munster seems to get awful stick over their bandwagon element yet most of their bandwagon supporters could actually name the 15 lads on the fieldand have some knowledge of munster rugby while a lot of the gaa bandwagoners wouldnāt have a notionā¦
unfortunately it happens in all sportsā¦look at how many irish people have started shouting for sunderland and buying their jerseys etcā¦
By fuck all i obviously meant considerably more than would attend a league of ireland soccer ball game. Still less though than would attend a wexford hurling game but sure thats just they way it is.
as you alluding to that. Maybe I was wrongā¦
i certainly didnāt mean to imply that, maybe you inferred itā¦my point is fairly simple munster rugby is made up of a wide range of supports from many different social groupsā¦both city and country peopleā¦both both middle class and working classā¦the same can be said of the playersā¦
while the core support of leinster comes from the pale and the private school jocksā¦the same can be said of a lot of their playersā¦
i remember rock telling a story here once about the time he showed up for underage trials with leinster that summed up the mentalityā¦

yeahā¦kinda hard to go for munster under age trials when you are playing your underage rugby in leinsterā¦and you have the cheek to call me ridiculous earlier in the threadā¦http://www.thefreekick.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif
No, whereās this campaignās final on Fran? Getting a little bit nervous ahead of the game now but, overall, I remain pretty confident our suave and sophisticated Eastern seaboard unit can defeat this collection of spud pickers from the south west this evening.
I agree Fran. Iām a die-hard Leinster supporter and I didnāt go to a private school.
Rocko supports Munster and he went to that private college on Leeson Street in his Leaving Cert year.
So there Pukey.
Just because I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth doesnāt mean I didnāt appreciate what life was like on the other side of the tracks. Iām a modern day Robert Emmett.
And I donāt think I can justifiably claim to support Munster because Iāve been to more Leinster games than Munster games over the years. I like watching both but Iād prefer to see Munster winning - more of an armchair fan though.

Anyway much of Fingal was in the ancient province of Meath. Donāt support the four province strucutre imposed on us by the Brits. While my own province are denied representation, Iāll choose to support whomever I like.
