Strange sort of game and like both quarters so far very entertainign. Hard to know which way scrum is going. Wide defence from Munster is worryingly poor. Looks as though the wind is pretty strong and favours Munster in second half so that should help them get territory.
On Leinster thought they were very fortunate. Sextons kicking is a boost. Horgan was awful. Defended way too narrowly and looked couple of yards off the pace. Not sure if their victory is best thing from Irish perspective to be honest.
Munster have done ok in the scrum so far but think they could tire as it goes on. Some very poor kicking from Munster already in the second half. I think where OāConnell is missed is in providing a leadership focal point rather more so than in what he does in the actual play. Munster seem to be lacking a clear strategy at the moment.
Microphone picked up a fella in the crowd there imploring OāGara to kick for the corner and go for a bonus point. Thereās no rugby crowd more knowledgable than the Thomond Park crowd.
Patchy place kicking performance from OāGara. Compare that to the poise and accuracy shown by Sexton last night.
Regrettably flicked over to RTE in time to catch Hook and Popeās smug bullshit.
Munster have sadly become the Manchester United of Irish sport. Watching the rabid, clueless roaring of that Thomond Park crowd made me feel embarrassed for my province. The amount of women at the Munster heineken cup games is the clearest sign of all of the bandwagon they have become.
Stade will want to make positions like that count. They were unlucky on the Beauxais kick through but didnāt show much composure on that last visit to the 5 metre line.
