Munster, celtic league, heineken cup, general and tag rugby thread 🐐

Fair point Rocko, but both sides are going at this hammer and tongs, savage opening. I expect some composure to seep in after 10 mins or so.

Ah yeah, they’ll just want to have had at least 3 points on the board by now because they’ve been playing better so far I think.

Ah well in there, Roncero is a beast of a man.

Hugo fucking Southwell, what a fucking joke that man is playing for someone like Stade.

Shocking decision to keep that ball himself when Bergamasco was outside.

Impressive response from Toulouse. Two out halves are playing lovely stuff so far.

Dya think Leguizamon has enough strapping on him?

Always worth watching his finest moment again

Fucking hell what a way to clear the ball. Toulouse look on top now. They haven’t a try yet but they’ve made a few line breaks so expect the tries to follow.

Jauzion’s pass before that try was fucking unreal.

Lewis not reffing this very decisively. He was screaming at Stade to leave the ball there and then shouted “play on” once they got their hands on it. Still at least he called the try himself.

Massive brain fart there from Leguizamon to hand Stade a try before half time. Overconfidence is a bit of an issue for that man.

That is just ridiculous.

Appalling refereeing there. How is Bergamasco allowed to play that? He makes the tackle, he’s clearly lying on the ground and he’s offside. Shocking decision.

All Toulouse now at the moment.

Hugo Southwell, the losing of this game for Stade bless him. That was some straight arm challenge by big Census on Bastereaud.

Tremendous try there. Great work from Jauzion to create it, and then Skrelea, amazing stuff.

On another note, Jauzion has a Degree in Ag Science, ah lovely.

EDIT it wasn’t Skrelea, who made the last pass? Heymans I think?

Jeez that was a cracking try. Some physicality in defence to force Stade into the up and under and then once they put it through a couple of rucks they kept it alive superbly.

Jaysus the Stade Municipal is fucking hopping. Leinster will have it all to do over there.

By the way, dunno if its been said here, but Sexton has a fractured jaw and is a doubt for the semi.

Here it is

From RTE:

Jonathan Sexton could miss semi-final

Saturday, 10 April 2010 22:05

Leinster’s Jonathan Sexton is in a race against time to play a part in their Heineken Cup semi-final next month.

The out-half picked up a jaw injury towards the end of last night’s win over Clermont Auvergne at the RDS…

RTÉ Sport understands Sexton underwent a medical procedure earlier today to support his injury.

Rob Kearney suffered an ankle injury in the game and is unlikely to be available for the Magners League game against Ospreys next Friday but is in no danger of missing the concluding stages of the season.

One of the papers earlier was saying he’d be definitely available.

Toulouse have probably put in the best performance of the weekend here.

Some very good games and all winners were impressive for various reasons but with Toulouse and Biarritz so impressive at home and with home games to come you have to think they’ll both be short price favourites for the semi-finals.

Ngwenya is a bit fast isnt he? Made a fucking show of WIlliams.

just found out that th 2nd name on the rugby ball is jamie heaslip & not john hayes

For sho bro.

just in and had recorded the toulouse stade match. All I can say is that they look clinical and it’s a rough crowd down there.
Much like perpignan when munster went.
Reading the sunday turbine earlier and francis was saying that Leinster have been riding their luck and giving away penalties too easily.
the way they played against connaught/munster/clermont will not be nearly enough against toulouse. Those games were snaking over the line with their noses in front and unlike Harlequins last year I can’t see Toulouse not scoring 2 or 3 tries in their home ground. sexton will have to kick faultlessly and they will need to give away no penalties.
Hopefully it will be a munster and leinster final. Munster faithful to then dash the ladies dreams.

Tom.
