Munster, celtic league, heineken cup, general and tag rugby thread 🐐

Leinster get Clermont, Scarlets and Exeter for next years H-Cup.

Munster in with Racing Metro, Saracens and Edinburgh

Ulster get Northampton, Castres and Glasgow

Connacht in with Biarritz, Harlequins and Zebrre (??)

Ireland are playing NZ again this weekend

You’d think one hiding would be enough for the cunts

The English and French teams are now threatening to pull out of the Heineken Cup.

Has the bubble finally burst?

Don’t they threaten that every year? Where’s the source of this years rumours?

Great draw for Munster. Gives them some chance of progressing anyway. Always good to avoid the big French sides.

And they are playing them again after that
“Tests” , not for NZ they ain’t. I suppose the line is NZ -99 for the 3 game aggregate?

What’s the point in that ? You’d think they’d hop over to Oz and get hockeyed by them aswell instead of playing the same team 3 times.

If the FAI arranged a tour where you play the same team 3 times, they’d be ridiculed from pillar to post.

What numpties in the RFAI arranged this ??

It’s the great rugby tradition of going ‘on tour’ dontcha know, where men are men, soap is for woofters and all kinds of japery can be gotten up to.
Did ye ever hear some of the stories about what happened on some tour many years ago? I’m sure there’s a dvd of it knocking about the place but it was hilarious. Absolutley wonderful high jinkery, and all in the best possible humour.

Good to see the wendyball fans are finding some asument. Coz they won’t find it in Poland that’s for fucking sure

Congratulations on reaching Anto level of patheticness.

The difference is I wish no Irish side anything other than the best.

What’s asument Dan?

What’s wendyball?

Something dan and anto play in the showers.

Splendid, battling draw by England in South Africa today. That’s an excellent way for Stuart Lancaster’s boys to end a hugely punishing Premiership season.

Warren Gatland’s Wales team were extremely unlucky to lose to Australia by a point.

Credit also to Scotland for winning in Samoa, always a difficult place to go.

There’s some really good work being put in by the British teams with the exception of Ireland at the moment and it augurs well for next year’s Loins tour.

I have to say I’m actually enjoying watching Super 15 the last few weeks.
I think the fact that it’s not Europe based and therefore doesn’t have the annoying fans element and also has a better class of player means that it has less things to annoy me. Also I was 5/6 on S15 bets this week, which was nice.

Anyway, we’re into the playoffs.
The Queensland Reds are home to the Natal Sharks in the first quarter final.
The Canterbury Crusaders are home to the Bulls from Pretoria in the other quarter final.

Awaiting the winners in the semi finals are the Waikato Chiefs and the Stormers from Cape Town.

In the 2 quarter finals I fancy the Crusaders to beat the Bulls easily enough. The second game is harder to pick. Quade Cooper was cited for a high tackle on Berrick Barnes yesterday so the Reds could be without him. I like the look of the Sharks as well so will keep a close eye on what happens there.

On the competition as a whole I like the Crusaders to win it out. They are currently 11/4 with Ladbrokes. I’m on the verge of 5 pointing that. They should beat the Bulls. If the Reds win the Crusaders would have to travel to Cape Town. Not ideal but I’m not convinced by the Stormers, I think they are weak enough #1 seeds. If the Sharks win they go to Cape Town and the Crusaders hop islands to Waikato where they beat the Chiefs a few weeks back.

Both games are Saturday morning. Starting in Christchurch at 8.30am

What you mean is the S15 doesn’t have fans that annoy you, coz you don’t have to meet em. Cunts ringing cow bells for 80 mins etc! Great rugby in fairness but shockingly poorly attended at times. Would agree its a great betting medium but as a competition it has huge flaws mainly the massive number of dead rubbers from four or five rounds in.

Crusaders for me too. 11/4 is a great price

dancarter in dancarter tipping Dan Carter’s team shocker.

Quade Cooper is out for the QF. And the reds have become shorter favourites as a result. :strokechin:

dan, Irish rugby fans bug the shit out of me. They keep going to matches and buying into a product that is getting worse and worse.
And an awful lot of fans haven’t a clue of the rules. If there was some kind of Republic of Telly type sports show they should have video surveys outside big rugby matches and fans tell them why the ref blew whistle. The output would be hilariously awful. The number of people I have sat beside during matches who have shouted out ridiculous stuff is constant. Oh that was offside because… Eh, no it wasn’t you tard. And I’m not even 100% with the rules either but it’s a complicated game but the event junkies haven’t a notion.

With Super15 I don’t get bombarded with media, the product is better[More attacking with a better quality of player] and I don’t have to deal with empty vessels talking about how great any of the teams are because very few people are watching it. Don’t get me wrong, the scrum is still a mess and they have changed the rules of the breakdown so much that you play the ref and not the rules but it is watchable.

Rugby of any form is accepted as utter shite

But there was a serious finish to the Roosters Rabbitohs games this evening. Well worth a you tube view. Rabbitohs got two tries in the last couple of mins to win but was an enjoyable second half in truth
