Munster GAA Round Robin 2022

Be a big risk to play him even if thereā€™s a tiny doubt over him.

He signalled to the bench instantly and bate the Hurley off the ground in anger. Itā€™s the hammer which has been at him a while nowā€¦ He did stay in for another play so hopefully it was just a twinge and heā€™s back for next day after the break.

And ye are lucky enough to avoid Galway again who will batter Limerick if they have a full squad to choose from.

Would agree on all your analysis.

Just on the above point, I thought DOD was absolutely unbelievable. MotM if Byrnes hadnā€™t been so good.

Thatā€™s how you play the midfield linkman role. You get into space to take the ball from your backs, you get in support of your forwards, you win dirty ball on any breaks between the two 45s.

His ability to deliver the ball aswell, up there with the very best.

Also agree with actually being annoyed with Cork. Can only imagine how Cork supporters feel. Whatever about losing, or not being good enough, but to lose in that manner and not changing anything.

Waterfordā€™s need of a win this weekend is probably greater. They have to come up the dreaded N24 twice this year, you wouldnā€™t fancy having to go to Ennis on the last day out looking for a result.

Or a post match snack box.

I doubt they will. If they beat Cork they are all but through regardless of other results you would think.

There is a possibility that you could well have the third place in Munster being a team on one win and decided by scoring difference if Clare, Tipp and Cork were to all cut each others throats and all lose to Limerick and Waterford.

Iā€™d be pleasantly surprised if Waterford get within 10 points of Limerick on Saturday night.

If anyone can get a copy of the high-behind video of the Limerick-Cork match, Iā€™d love to have a look.

Arra give overā€¦

Nigh on impossible to call 3rd place right now. A lot riding on Corkā€™s ability to recover from two fairly sobering results.

When did Waterford last win a Championship match in Limerick? They won the Munster Final there in 1963. Have they recorded a Championship win there since?

Would have beaten Tipp a few years ago only for the ghost goal

Was that in Thurles or Limerick?

Havenā€™t played that much there admittedly. Heavy defeats to Limerick in 2018, Clare 2008 and to Cork in the 1983 Munster Final other ones that spring to mind.

Iā€™d say 1963 was the last time. We got hockeyed there in 1983. It was grim.

Iā€™ve just ascertained that Waterford beat Galway in a Munster semi final in Limerick in 1966.

1963 the last time so that Waterford won a serious match against Tier 1 opposition in Limerick.

Hammered in a league final in 04 there

The day Eoin McGrath played corner back. :grinning::grinning:
