Brendan Maher is excellent but they probably missed him from the half-back line too and again, I thought Gillane did fairly well.
Set up one goal and really should have finished his own chance- too fucking high again.
Was Ronan Maherās challenge on Casey really all that bad?
Granted Casey came off far worse given the size and strength difference between the two and the fact Maher came from his blind side but it was an excellent flick and he was somewhat entitled to follow through with his momentum. I thought Duignan and Canning made far more of it.

OāDwyer has regressed as a referee.
He gave phantom frees to both sides, made terrible decisions against both sides and missed blatant red cards. Iām always suspicious of refs who try to be too pally with the players.
Fergal Horgan suits Limerick the best, heās consistent if nothing else and letās a lot go.

Thought on the couple of views I saw there was a deliberate lift of arm at end over and above the momentumā¦bit hard to know on angles they showed
From my vantage point, it looked awful, looked high & dangerous. I havenāt seen any replays of the incident though.

The phantom frees thing is a killer. A heap of them yesterday.
Also it seems like Paudie Maher is reffed differently to every other player on the pitch. Barging doesnāt exist for him. Thereās no limit to the number of steps he can take. And if he falls down it is automatically a free.

People are well on to him now and realise that pawdee goes down faster than a cheap hooker
Looked to me like he dropped the shoulder and followed through, he didnāt need to, bad enough, couldnāt argue if he got red.
The ref gave a free against Maher yesterday and was talking to him and some lad roared out from the open stand āare you apologizing to him ref?ā
He got a few very soft ones yesterday.

Think there was less intent than Dunne. Dunne had no intention whatsoever to play the ball
