From puck outs they drop deep In a block and allow the opposition to go short where there maniac aggression in the tackle forces a heap of chances from turnovers. If tipp go long yesterday they are pucking it into a crowded area where the likes of Hayes, wod, Byrnes and Dan morrissey dominate. We lack pace in the backs but usually itās so crowded teams donāt get a chance to run at us. While loads of teams try this tactic limerick are very effective at it because Hayes and hego have insane engines and can keep getting up and down the field. The two are like nfl linebackers. Callanan pulled away from a few defenders at his ease. Cork can go short v limerick as the skill levels of their backs is sky high on the ball. They are really good at working the ball through the lines. They draw limerick out from a deep block. Thatās the key for me. If you can get limericks half forwards in their traditional positions they are very vulnerable in the backs. I think weāve played them 4 times in the last two seasons and havenāt beaten them in 70 minutes. Overall I think cork will post 1-27 and thatās a huge score for us to get against them. Casey is a game changer as lads mentioned. He could be the key to winning two in a row. Not just because of his own ability but he might free up some space for Gillane.

In fairness to him youād have some job being compere in front of a Tipp crowd on a Thursday night in Hayesā. Youād want a cage for protection like the band playing āRawhideā in the Blues Brothers.
