I didnât see any of the match but sounds like a trademark brave defeat for Connacht. Lancaster has some job ahead of him to get that loser mentality out of the next generation.
Cathal Forde needs to sort his goal-kicking out. He was super in his debut year but has completely phoned it in recently.

JJ badly needs to improve as well. Was cat in Musgrave last time with conversions and same last nite as well
They defended unbelievably well and showed serious committment on defence which was sorely lacking last season. Id say Lancaster knows he needs to fix that before anything else. Definitely looked less dangerous in attack than last season
A non goal kicking ten is a fair luxury but ye have Gilbert landing soon and he will be a better goal kicking option than what ye have.

They donât have a natural 15 left since the Cordero debacle so Gilbert really needs to go well. Naughton will be a 10 down the line and I think West isnât really suited to 15. Hansen is an awful fullback too imo. Jennings might have been an option there but heâs not really favoured by the current and prior coaching ticket.

15 is a very difficult position to play in the current iteration of the game. Used far less than the wings now as a strike runner so need to be really clued in to get yourself into the game properly and the 50/22 has forced you further back the field than youâd like
Any thinking that says you can just land any back three player back there and he will figure it out is wishful thinking

Daly seems much better at full back than wing, or maybe heâs just improved overall.

Grand but an awful touch of the Leinster C team about the front row now. Theyâd want to spend a few bob in the summer. Plenty big hitters gone.
New coach is supposed to be excellent but Quinn injury is quite bad sadly.
