McMillan has doubled down, saying the alleged rapist is âan outstanding humanâ.
The indo podcast paints a different picture. They canât even confirm why the guys resigned from the
Board.
Also rud o Connor said he was very surprised to hear Humphries wasnât involved.
Listened to it. Fairly balanced all in all
My interpretation of his point on the resignations was he didnât know if it was because they had an issue with Randles history, or an issue that the decision on the appointment had been brought to them as fait accompli with no consultation which would have not been the normal approach
Apparently the in fighting is absolutely incredible in Munster at the moment. Missing out on the European cup will a disaster and I think that will happen.
Few journalists were saying Prendergast thought heâd the job got last year. Surely if thatâs true somebody in the irfu would have the brains to spot that itâs almost impossible for him to continue as head coach?
It was certainly a strange approach to keep both on.
Was it down to finances then?
He was under contract.
Says he signed a new contract here
I think itâs crazy to do that to someone who wanted the bigger job. For him it was probably a no brainer, by the time he went through the Munster process he had ruled himself out of a lot of others. I get Munster feeling somewhat obligated to look after him but it probably would have been best for all concerned for him to move on.
Ah ok I had thought he was in contract and it overlapped. Your take in it that heâd missed other potential moves makes sense. Still think it was a bad call and a bad look not to give him the job and theyâve compunded it further with additional blunder now.
He has absolutely no experience of the job and the attack has been awful.
You have some very strange views on coaches but everyone has to be a head coach for a first time and he has loads of experience of the team and the province.
Iâm fairly certain the irfu changed his job title.
They definitely over time want the Leinster model in all provinces.
Director of rugby and head coach.
Mike Prendergast is the head coach.
You seem to be struggling massively with this.
Wrong term but same point.
Mike Prendergast as the manger would be a monumental risk and would mean heâs doing little coaching.
He has taken coaching role similar to his current role in Munster.
You just canât seem to grasp this.
You canât seem to grasp basic words and roles. You accept you were wrong? In your own words, you seem to be struggling massively with this.
If the irfu are pushing this model surely the top guy should be Munster person as well.
Munster want a Leo Cullen type and can change coach without much fuss or turnover.
No you tried to claim Prendergast should have gotten the job despite him having no experience of the role and his own department being awful.
You understand the concept of promotion, right?
Why would you promote somebody to a completely new department he has no experience off given he wasnât excelling in his own role?
I would have promoted him because I think he was excelling, he has loads of experience at the level immediately below the role, he has loads of experience with this player group and is highly regarded by them and knows the entire scene inside and out, and because heâs a former homegrown player who gets, is emotionally invested in and reinforces the culture and identity of the province and itâs connection to the fans.
