Burke wouldâve seen that too. So he would.
Heâs far from a coward but he shouldnât be eulogised for essentially coughing up a goal when there was no need to.
How many did he stop? Scanlon didnât come near the goal after and he was doing a fair bit inside early on. Had a lovely touch and had beaten his man on two or three occasions. I literally didnât hear mention of him after.
Weâll never know.
I didnt see the young fella rambling in there again after he got the rattle. Completely legitimate in the eyes of a proper number 3, a job well done.
Iâd say Cody will show it over and over again to the young fella next winter and Dempsey will have him on the bull crunch from October onwards.
Similar happened Conor Whelan when he emerged in 2016, he took the rattles and prepared himself for war since.
Best be on your guard if youâre wandering into the Turlougheens natural habitat
You donât win six county titles on the trot without passing on a bit of of pedigree. Galwayâs hellâs kitchen back in the day.
Daithi is from football stock though, fine pedigree as it is all the same
A Waterford player getting sent off because someone dived? Karma.
They fucked themselves by keeping Walsh Park as the county ground.
I mean what the fuck are they going to do for the next 2 years. Surely theyâll have to have their games played on neutral grounds, itâs a massive disadvantage to have no home games in this format.
Heâs obviously not paying enough attention in the Pat O Connor school of diving training session.
So Waterford are likely to be down Connors, Coughlan, Dara fives, De Burca, Gleeson, Pauric Mahoney and Moran on top of Bennett x2. Thatâs 9 of the team from All Ireland final. Only Barron is left of their top 7 players.
This is unprecedented
They shouldnt be playing teams at their home venues when the Munster Council are not willing to let them play in Walsh Park or wherever the fuck they like.
Munster Council also did a number on Tipp in the Football but the cunts will get away with it.
Itâs about money. Itâs Waterfordâs choice not to play in Walsh Park - they could do so if they wanted.
Theyâre getting a far greater share of gate receipts by playing in Thurles and the GG.
Limerick v. Cork is very interesting.
Limerick are very well conditioned and very good 1v1 hurlers but Cork play a completely different game where they do not value the ruck unless absolutely necessary.
I must say I absolute impressed with fragging coaching and impressed the best coaching I have seen within Cork hurling where the approach suits the players available and not other way around.
Cork despite the switch off hurled way better yesterday and the rythm to their play was better.
Tipp big players put on a show 2nd half but we can not expect to be that far ahead of Tipp anyway. Plus they showed good heads to score the 3 points near end.
Looking forward to next week. Great to have so many games
Thereâll be little in it. Cork have a short enough turnaround and the 3rd consecutive week was always going to be the one to test teams in terms of fatigue etc.
With 3 points on board and a disjointed Waterford still to come, I feel that Cork might make a few changes to the starting lineup. Limerick will start with 14 or possibly all of the team that faced Tipperary.
Hard to call. Cork are a little more battle hardened but susceptible to having their full back line pulled around a bit which Limerick have gotten quite adept at.
Ya good point
When playing quite static yesterday OâDonohoe and Spillane beat their direct opponents reasonably easily.
But no corner back enjoys movement I suppose.
2 teams definitely playing to their strengths.
There was nothing impressive about our touch yesterday in greasy conditions.
Also OâDonoghue and Lehane pick up the ball in the most laissez faire way imaginable and it hasnât been changed.
Looked an awful lot like Tipp dragged their half forward line on top of our midfield and isolated our inside backs for the majority of the second half.
I am very interested in seeing how it plays out tactically, how the two setups go up against each other. Should be intriguing.
As of now, Iâd be quietly confident. I think we match up fairly well against Cork.
Only thing would be if Meyler makes a few changes. Obviously, itâs their 3rd week on the trot, short turnaround too. He seems to have been very reticent with his bench so far, think he only made 2 subs yesterday and neither impressed.
I donât know if OâFlynn will be back. Could we see OâMahony back to centre-back or is that put to bed? Cadogan maybe?
