We were shite tbh , canât see Limerick or Tipp getting worried by either, it wasnât that Waterford were fab but rebels were ridiculous in their lack of basic defence work, not great preparation for Waterfordâs next day out , but a good win for them nonetheless

Youâd nearly forget that Waterford were missing Pauric Oâ Mahoney. Very impressive to be be striking 1-28 without their main free-taker/scorer in chief (Cork are usually porous defensively).
Itâs some record. He has been blessed injury wise.
If anything I think it was a small blessing in disguise. Mahoney while an excellent free taker is a pure gadget player who stalks around on the periphery of things. Too light and lacks real workrate which Cahill is looking for an half forward. His free taking exploits have papered over a lot of his shortcomings IMHO.
