Jesus but you’d nearly be overcome by the deep sense of contentment after an evening like that. You couldn’t drink enough of it in :pint:

How much will you drink?

That was always a key question on the way home after a big win?

"“And how much will you have to drink?”

Last think Limerick need is to have to bust a gut to get out of Munster. Cahill will be licking his lips.

Only so many times you can go to the well I suppose.

Clare were well worth it. Ryan Taylor and Diarmuid Ryan were immense.

Fair play to Clare. Better team on the night. If the cunts could find that gear for every team that they find for Limerick they’d be unstoppable. Great game. Munster bear pit even more bear pit now. No room for another slip

Clare are really the perfect foil for Limerick. They tick the hurling box, ballwinning box, intensity box but also the fitness one - most teams fall to Limerick’s sheer fitness and ability to outlast their opponents. Limerick always finish better.

I was surprised Clare were able to keep up their opening 20 minutes for the rest of the game. We’ve seen loads of teams recently fail at keeping their opening intensity against Limerick to the same standard after 25 or so minutes.

I can’t see Cork being able to win the ball up front the way Clare were able to. Neither can I see Tipp or Galway lasting the full 75 minutes against Limerick. Kilkenny don’t have the hurling IMO. Waterford would need a dramatic change in approach that likely will not happen.

Result put in perspective by a man dying in the section beside us, harrowing to watch CPR being done, the match was an afterthought after it
