You will always get honesty of effort from Dalton. His hurling IQ is massive, but at this level, his lack of genuine pace mitigates against this.

If Tipp beat Limerick in Thurles, Limerick cannot finish ahead of Tipp.
Then if Cork beat Clare in Ennis and Clare beat Waterford in Thurles, Limerick cannot qualify even with a win over Cork.
Forde was a big loss that was nearly forgotten in all the excitement so too Robbie O Flynn.
