Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2024

Munster Hurling is the biggest draw lets not beat around the bush, football is a shocking watch add in the joke of a format there no point in watching until the AISF.

Rte need to have separate channels for hurling and football. 2 different sunday game shows also to give justice and time for highlights and analysis. The public will watch what theh want. Im sure there is football folks who say awh fucking hurling is up forst before turning it off and coming back in an hour

In fairness the much maligned Leinster hurling championship is still far better than watching a URC game that means fuck all to anyone and is total shambles as a spectacle.

Wexford vs Dublin on at the same time as Clare v Limerick is on the GAA. Who is making that decision. Crazy stuff in terms of even pretending to promote the game.

Leinster is throwing up drama tbf. Much better than professional rubby. Sure didnt they donthe cork/galway and clare/wexford QF double header at 1 and 3 to accommodate 2 SA teams play the URC final in the evening.

The gaa should look, where possible to maximise TV times and i include gaago with as many throw in alots as possible to have sgand alone games not clashing

Maybe Friday night at 8pm for neighbouring counties? Dublin vs Kildare or Limerick vs clare if in croker or Limerick?

3 slots on Saturday 2pm, 4pm and 6/7pm and the 2 traditional slots on sunday. Thats 7 live games across both codes also avoiding as many big games throwing in at the same time.

I think a Friday evening would be difficult for work reasons etc, even though it would be class from a hurling fans perspective. They absolutely should spread out the games though. No reason for big Leinster and Munster championship games to be fixed at the same time.

Friday night is a nice idea and would be a great spectacle but I don’t think it’s realistic for big games. It’s grand for underage games. You drive in, watch the match and head away. None of the socialising that is a big part of the senior matches.

Has to be something that would work. Been involved in Friday night games, hard to arrange the day but the key is that the travelling team doesnt have a big distance as per my example of clare travelling to Limerick could work. Dublin vs kildare or meath in football. Laois/offaly could work also.

Not having big games in the same code clashing or a county having 2 teams play the same day is common sense

You don’t pay a licence if you’re previous utterings are anything to go by?

Leinster and Munster councils obviously not talking to each other to agree match times. Or pure stubborn.

You are truly an actual simpleton

There’s lads here who are wind ups, and quite good at it. Lads who are dreadful at it. And then lads like the one you quoted, where you couldnt actually be certain and you would imagine they actually believe stuff like he posted.

Maybe the Gaelic Football could benefit from an NFL Redzone style package where they cut to a match once a team crosses the 45 or takes a forward mark…

Good one mate.

Darren Frehill would be the ideal host

I see the 2025 Munster hurling final is down to be played on a Saturday night.

What the actual fuck?

An agreement to rotate the Provincial Finals, I thought this had been well flagged?

Do you actually take anything i say on here seriously? If someone does they are the problem :joy:. The tipp lads are getting fair wound up all the same

I give you the benefit of the doubt of being as dumb as you appear.

Assuming Limerick/Clare in 2024, thatll be in Thurles. A repeat final again in 2025 will be in cork if clare can travel to cork on a Saturday evening.

I can’t get round the conflict of interest.
In any case, I have no problem with paying for GAAGO,
BUT
And it’s a jlo but,
It doesn’t work reliably or easily.
If any other good or service behaved like this, you’d get money back. Good luck with that when your GAAGo won’t load, or glitches ten minutes in.
They should also make all the games available on the rte player that evening. It’s neither one thing nor the other.
An rte GAA premium package or something would be better
