He is trolling.
Cahalane should start but management have been told to look at youth repeatedly and are doing so, within reason.
I’m not.
Where’s your fight gone? Corkness is on the floor… I’m here geeing up crying Cork lads on WhatsApp ffs.
Cork need to go out and put the ball over the bar and in the back of the net and no more about it… No ifs, no buts.
There’s no sympathy in this game for anybody.
Puff your chest out and get on with it you cunts.
If Fitzgibbon had Kinnerick coaching him for 10 years, how good would he be?
A cohort of Limerick players went out and improved their own game on their own time and nothing to do with Kinnerk.
If you want it bad enough you’ll go out and get it.
Potentially could have been brilliant, I’m not denying that the Limerick player’s skills have improved; they obviously have. You expect players to develop with good coaching and obviously Kinnerk is the best around.
I do wonder whether some of the Cork players have been accommodated in the past to some extent? In that, their strengths remain their strengths and they’re very good at certain things but haven’t improved much in other aspects?
Surely he should be at 3 and Eoin Downey at 6 with rob Downey half back.
Keep Eoin Downey close to cahalane.
If gillane is left isolated he will destroy you. You surely want to defend in numbers.
I’d have TOM, Fitgibbon and dalton as a half forward line.
No.
Two Downey’s in the half-back line? Sweet christ.
There must be a puck out on average every 40/50 seconds in championship game.
Unless you are superb at winning your own puck outs and defending the oppositions you are at nothing.
Instantly you can see cork are going to be in huge trouble for both their own and opposition puck outs.
Rob isn’t the worst half back. He’s not great but he’s better than most. I’d have eoin ahead of Coleman or Tim o Mahoney.
And Cork’s full-back line aren’t really skilful enough to pick out intricate passes from the back either. So you have to have ballwinners. Really quick puckouts are probably their best option really given the players they have.
TOM, Kingston, Fitz and Coleman all haven’t improved one iota since they came on the scene at 19/20. All of these have good raw materials, Tim the least of all in my opinion, to be top IC hurlers but it hasn’t happened. I’d blame that on a lack of good coaching.
In fairness to Fitz, he is knocking over 4 or 5 from play every other day.
An ignorant assessment of Fitzgibbon there. Your knowledge is good so I’d have expected more.
Fitz has his faults but his touch and striking is top class. A few Limericks on here seem to have a raging dislike for him and I don’t particularly understand it. To not admit to his hurling skill and class is just wrong.
You take pride in giving a reasoned analysis on hurling, so your emotionally driven excerpt here comes as a surprise.
A few of the @limericks are bitter that a man from the Limerick side of the border chose to play for Cork.
He’s a finisher that plays out the field. He is brilliant at that but he wouldn’t be a great man to give a good delivery for a forward. He’s a brilliant man to slap a ball over the bar from a tight angle without being a brilliant pure striker of a pass
Rob is as slow as a wet week and Eoin isn’t much better. It would be even more suicidal having both them together in the hb line.
