A fairly doom + gloom vibe off that. Only positive is the openness to looking at shared / municipal facilities.
Ah lads, are ye really whining about having to pay to see the greatest hurling team of all time?
Some of ye have very short memories.
Shorthand for “dig Cark out of the white-elephant-shaped hole they’re in”
We’ve matured as a nation. Imo they should defo try and share faculties particularly if there’s tax payers money involved.
There was a time when their “super fan” wouldn’t even bother going to an All Ireland semi final, preferring to sup ale at the afters of a wedding.
They should throw in Killarney as an option as a Munster hurling final ground as well for the craic.
Better than going to watch a British soccer team, probably on telly at that.
I love going to Killarney. Great venue.
The season ticket is a rob. No two ways about it. Happily pay whatever to see championship but 140 to see maybe 2 decent league games is a cod. Really you are paying 140 to get to Ennis. Because you’ll get an all Ireland ticket
Ye never worried about paying for success before
This isn’t a Limericks issue. This is a GAA being starved bastards issue. The season ticket is good for supporters and it’s pissing off the GAA so they are doing everything in their power to make it shit.
The Leixs crowd are getting rode altogether.
Just buy the ticket and get on with it.
Everyone wants shit for nothing nowadays
You are Clerkinesque
Not at all. Lads want GAAGo for free. Sky sports for free. Clubber for free. Then they want cheap tickets because it’s too expensive to watch their generational hurling side.
And then they want to draw down grants out of the GAA that magically comes from the magic tree. They want their stadia and they want their players expenses.
Want want want.
Tis great so it is
The season ticket was great. Now it’s shit. End of. Loyal supporters being milked.
Watch it on IPTV so
It is in part. It’s an issue of the insatiable demands of senior IC setups now, and the frankly ludicrous money it seems to require. Limerick in the hurling and Dublin in the football appear to have pushed this envelope up a ladder.
And this is before the ladies request equal funding.
I don’t know how it will end up.
A salary cap and brown envelopes I suspect.
Yeah. And it’s not like there are 50,000 season ticket holders.
It’s a right stingy move from the GAA.
Any attempt to cap it will just end up with stuff being done off the books, or paid for directly from sponsors rather than via the county board
