Win MF and straight to a semi is obviously the optimal.
Losing MF and into a quarter is the worst.
Limping in the third is probably in the middle.

Mate, they came up against teams that flopped. Tipperary being a croke park team is a myth. When is the last time Tipperary won a proper contest in Croke Park? 2016?

Teams wilt at the sight of Tipperary hunting them down in Croke Park.
Wexford could not have hurled any better in 2019. It was actually one of the greatest hurling performances of all time for 50 minutes, but when the final quarter came and 14 man Tipp turned the screw, they collapsed.
Kilkenny last year had an extra man and all the experience in the world of Croke Park, but they literally froze in the last 10 minutes. Didnât know what to do.
With Cork in the final, you couldnât even describe it. It was astonishing. Tipp lads grew 10 foot tall while Cork lads melted.
Tipp had no real right to be hammering Kilkenny in 2010, 2016 or 2019 but they did.

The semi-final v Kilkenny last year was a proper contest. Tipp won it with 14 men. They also won a belter with 14 men against Wexford in 19â.
Kilkenny folded and Wexford had a meltdown. Cases of the opposition losing rather than a team winning.

Doesnât say much for Limerick that one past their best Tipp team and one cobbled together Tipp team have been able to win All Irelands in their dominant period
