Munster Senior Hurling Championship 2026

Derek’s famous who ever beats Waterford will be climbing the steps

These refs dishing out yellow cards to defenders from 90 yards away is starting to become a complete cod.

Between black cards and yellow cards and frees for nothing called from 100 yards away, the game is gone so heavily weighted in favour of forwards its a joke.

Duggan actually fouled Cahalane when Duggan had the ball yesterday by doing a kind of Rubby hand off move and got a free in…

I’m not sure much if anything can be learned from yesterday from a Cork point of view. Clare just weren’t at the pitch of it and have four weeks now to gather themselves for an AI push. I still think they’re a threat with Rodgers and Taylor to come back. They wouldn’t fear Cork in particular in Croke Park. However, I’m not sure I could see them beating Limerick on the evidence to date.

For Clare, I think the week turnaround was possibly tough on the energy levels needed to get up for this on a sweltering day. Without watching the game back, it looked to me that Conlon was given very little support in front of him. Barrett’s lateral runs to the wings just weren’t being picked up sufficiently by anyone - but credit to Walsh and Healy for making this space for Barrett to exploit. A fair bit of chopping and changing in the space of a week in midfield/half-forward line can’t have helped Clare in dealing with this.

4/4 for BOC and Co and you’d have to be pleased. They’re playing smart hurling with a good blend of short and long and a bit more of an edge to proceedings when not in possession. Walsh and O’Connell have added loads in this regard.

Again, I think this year is as much a psychological bleed-out as anything. And fair fucks to them to date.

Ben O’C won’t give a fuck about the route for the MF loser, and rightly so. Cork have a proud record of home Munster SHC finals to protect in the Páirc but it will be a titanic challenge.

Why is SOD multiple feet behind the goals and running the wrong way? Fuck off with this AI shite.

A question we often ask

James Owens confirmed as the referee. 3rd time in 5 games we’ll have had him.

Owen’s refereeing. Disaster. Only gave us 5 frees the last day in Cork.

At least it’s not Stack.

Stack shouldn’t be allowed referee intercounty games as he does not know the black card rule. He has made numerous wrong calls on it . Brian Gavin even called him out on it in the cork examiner

It’ll be a long 9 days with the online limericks wearing themselves out whining and making excuses

Cork as good as have it won

Cork had a match played the last day out while limerick were coming in cold. Cork are down Joyce and fitzgibbon while the limerick starting team has gotten stronger. Obviously limerick also had a man sent off which hopefully won’t be the case this time. All put together limerick should be winning this by six or eight points.

You might as well have left it at that.

If you had seen him do club games you’d wonder how he ever made it onto the inter-county list

Name recognition and good connections will take you a long way

By God he’s surely erratic but he’s streets ahead of Stack. Stack is woejus….

Agreed. All things considered we will do very well to be competitive here such is Limerick’s strong record against Cork over the last few years.

Our record against ye is terrible and that comes into it too. If we can’t bate ye with a bit to spare on this occasion we’ll have no chance later on and may as well throw our hat it.
