Munster SHC 2021

Itā€™s a huge game for Cork, a great chance to test themselves against the aristocrats of hurling. After a pretty poor 2020 Kingston will be under pressure to deliver, their Corkness was shaken and needs reaffirming.

Itā€™ll be just another game for Limerick.

They need to get Dr Anthony Oā€™Connor to take time out of his busy schedule and deliver a rousing speech in the dressing room on the essence of Corkness.

Heā€™ll certainly be hoping Cork wonā€™t be staring at the gates of hell of another defeat to Limerick.

Hopefully Corkā€™s class will win out over Limerickā€™s honesty of effort.

Itā€™s Corks severe lack of honesty of effort that has them in the doldrums nearing two decades.

The last time Cork encountered class was when they were in economy class on the flight to Boston a few years back

It would be great to see talent beating hard work though.

Thereā€™s more hurling in Horganā€™s fingertips than there is in that whole Limerick half forward line.

Allā€™s changed, changed utterly
A terrible beauty is born.

Hopefully Tipps lack of both remains forever

Tedious enough posting so far.

Cork v limerick is probably the one interesting match up in Munster hurling.

Cork ruined our home coming party in 2019. We owe them and itā€™ll be an interesting game.

Cork are a coming force too. Whether itā€™s this year Iā€™m not certain.

Horgan is a class player, immense talent but he has been cleaned plenty of times in big games and I suspect he will be again when it really comes to it. He has gone up another level in recent years but people are in danger of rewriting history. He ainā€™t a Reid, or a Canning or even a Callanan really.

Also, his workrate is as poor as any Cork forward. Harnedy, if he can get himself right is more important, and Fitzgibbon.

Trust me, Cork have being going at it unofficially for a while now. Theyā€™re gonna blood a few in the league and the old boys know itā€™s their last chance and are up for it . Thereā€™s a big push coming from this this year, theyā€™re on a mission.

I think they might be the team to knock off Limerick in a few years but they need to ditch the old guard which is what they look to be doing in fairness.

Ya but itā€™s tricky with the shortened season. Cork Will win 2 or 3 all Irelands this decade. Itā€™s up to limerick to keep cork down tbh. Tipp, Galway and kk donā€™t have the younger players coming through.

Horgan has probably the best paid of hands in the game along with Joe Canning but he has no real pace at all .

He makes up for his lack of pace with an outstanding ability to read a breaking ball, some man to ghost in behind a FB line and put in a tidy finish.

Totally agree, unreal wristiness and skill level; would rarely if ever see him miscontrol a ball but he is reliant on the right service. He has spells at 11 during games in his career but it doesnā€™t really work. It will be interesting to see where he and Harnedy pitch up this season, youā€™d want them close to goal but I donā€™t know is that the age profile of a 2 man ff line.

Callanan is as well but nowhere near to the same extent.

Horgan has better wrists than anyone. Only Canning comes close.

Irish people get very offended when they see someone with an extraordinary skill set so theyā€™d rather focus on their faults like laziness or lack of pace.
