Tipp would probably have won anyway all the same
Tipp deserved winners, Clare lost their composure after that bizarre call from Owens. Callinanâs mishit just compounded it and Tipp were always going to find space with that cushion of a lead. Too many shots dropped short and missed chances.
Tipp would probably have had enough to win if Owens hadnât made the call but that was a woeful decision. It was a clear yellow but never a penalty/sin bin. We probably needed the breaks to go our way and four big ones went against us in the second half, such is life. We will give any of the teams in the qualifiers plenty of it.
