The Perevil is a lovely pub. The Salisbury is a nice pub too, not a too far from it.

We did and then I did, in the Pev.
Was later in the Philharmonic and The Grapes back in Liverpool. The Grapes is some spot for a late one.
Nice, with a good texture, but not at all as flavoursome as an ordinary field mushroom. No umami factor.
Was never in The Salisbury. Must amend.
The Britons Protection, another great pub, is a short walk from Peveril of the Peak. Just did not have time before train this time round.
Still has the too bright bit but looks lovely
True you are. But the snugs in Ye Cracke are far less bright – and especially the best one, ‘The War Office’, where we were.
