Would much prefer Brannigan’s law myself…
i like the colorado "make my day " law
http://www.nytimes.com/1990/06/01/us/colorado-journal-make-my-day-more-than-a-threat.html
I heard that nobody actually understands that law, and that it’s just merely enforced.
Brannigan’s law is like Brannigan’s love, hard and fast!

I know Jim Powers brother fairly well, hes farming in an extensive way in Clonea outside Carrick On Suir,he’d be operating a let fly policy out there id imagine and he’d be right too, sorts like V Browne know nothing about the struggles farmers and rural dwellers in general have with intruders emptying thier outhouses, diesel tanks and Haybarns, its an ongoing issue and a stressful one for all farmers,Jim Power would understand this,Vincent Browne wouldnt.
But there’s no evidence from any jurisdictios that this will actually reduce the instances of burglaries or anything. All it will do is encourage panic reactions.
It’s a sop to backbenchers again.
your pandering to our societies ‘vulnerables’ and ‘unfortunates’ obviously doesn’t extend to those vulnerables living in rural areas
who gives a shit whether it reduces the instances of burglaries or not, if it allows an elderly man living on his own in the middle of nowhere to get a nights sleep without fear of some prick breaking down his back door and cutting his finger tips off for no good reason then it would be a fine law.
First of all he launched on a tirade against RTE for being right wing which I didn’t necessarily agree with. He mentioned the fact that Padraig Nally was interviewed on the News at One with his opinion on the new proposed law. He couldn’t believe this. He then went on to say that Nally was completely wrong in his actions when shot Ward in the back when he was trying to flee.
Power then piped up laughing, saying that Vincent had neglected some parts of the story such as the fear that Nally was living in due to the previous actions of Ward. Browne asked him for evidence of this. Power kept laughing. Browne pre-empted him with ‘I think he was seen outside his house once before’. Power kept laughing.
Power knows the score.
Matt Cooper was also describing Michael Ring’s appearance on the Last Word where he said that ‘do-gooders’ would be up in arms over this. He couldn’t get over the phrase ‘do-gooders’.
The way I look at it that if you agree with a retard like Ring then something must be wrong.

2 juries in two separate trials failed to convict Paudraig of murder, leave aside your emotion on the issue and stop making an ape of yourself and deal with the facts here
The do-gooders thing was hilarious.
All I know is that if I see some cunt trying to break into my house I’m dropping the cunt.
I said, “Do you speak-a my language?” He just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich.

He’s bound to be right about somethings. I really dislike this thing where if we don’t like a person we can NEVER EVER EVER agree with absolutely anything else they say EVER again.
Kinda the way a few children carry on in this place.
What are you on about - facts?
The jury found him not guilty - I am aware of that. I don’t agree with their judgement, and have said why, as I am entitled to do.
