Where was the famous Limerick support?
Deflection
Tipp Cork is box office. I mentioned several times before last years AI final that no matter what happened in the final itself the Tipp Cork was shaping up to be an incredible rivalry over the next few years. It seems to be shaping up like that.
Tipperary have been fair game for these type of digs since kingdom come. The inferiority complex dripping off some of the posts above is enlightening.
There was barely anyone at Kilkenny’s opening League match against Offaly and no mention of it. Wexford who allegedly are great supporters couldn’t muster a thousand people for their game v Antrim but no mention of it anywhere, but with Tipp its fair game to say what you like.
Its water off a ducks back though to Tipp people at this stage.
Most of these lads only count attendances since they knocked out Kilkenny in 2018 (another low attendance, might I add)
The Tipp lads lashing out. You’d feel sorry for the true fans once the event junkie bandwagon gets going
You wouldn’t get this kind of nonsense out of the dozen or so hardcore salt of the earth Tipp fans.
Tipp Kilkenny drew over 60k past year. Probably 2/3 of them were from Tipp. Limerick after all the success could hardly manage a few coach loads up to a sparesly attended Croke Park for their qtr final against Dublin. 36k attended that day. Most of them Dubs who came in at HT to watch the football.
The time Tipp let Thurles turn red was a dark day for their supporters. It’s good to see a few more of them following the team again.
I’ve covered this to death previously but anyway here we go again.
Tipp people know their stuff. The lack of support/mass walkout on the 52nd minute of that Cork game was a loud and clear message that it was unacceptable what was going on and things needed to change.
Bryan O’Mara referenced it after one of the games last year that the players ‘got it in the neck’ from all angles at the time. Other counties, might accept this level of mediocrity but not in Tipp and that’s why I think its turned around so quickly. In the space of 12-18 months we have been able to effectively cannibalise Hurling at all levels again.
A dark day. Just shows how fickle they are that they’ll abandon the team so quickly.
Out of the woodwork then the minute it starts going well
The GAA will need to ensure Tipp fixtures don’t clash with a Two Johnnies “Flagons of Cider in a Field” festival as the event junkies won’t show up to the match
A lot of hurt
Limericks showing off the infamous thin skin
Same as Yanited fans.
Don’t be answering these lads. You landed a great shot, the sulkys are circling, now fall back.
On your bike, actually on second thought better not.
Eh hurling wasn’t invented back then

Malc rang there this morning.
I answered the phone fearing the worst.
“Your bike” he said “it’s fixed. It’s not leaking oil anymore, but you’re not fucking riding it like that”
“Like what malc?”
“Your fucking tyres. The back one is bad enough. The front one is the worst I’ve seen in years”.
Then
“It’s no fucking wonder you fell off”
“Have you any tyres in?”
“I do, I’ve got some pilots in”
“Are they decent?”
“Well I have them on my own bike”
“That’d be mighty malc, can you fit them?”
“Well if I don’t the only way I’m letting you take it home is on a fucking trailer”
Malc is a top top man.
So Limerick would have brought 10k to a qualifier when bang average? No surprise there, Always a solid core following. Thanks for backing that up @PaddyReilly
