Black card/penalty rule needs tidying up.
The double punishment of a man down and the chance to score is too much.
Penalty conversion rates are simply shocking though. They haven’t improved at all from the old 1 vs 3

Is there a maximum distance you can stand back from the line? I’m surprised how close a lot of fellas stand to it. You end up watching your feet.

Actually dunno, but I agree. That penalty reminded me of a Tom Morrissey one. Absolutely shocking standing still.
The rule is perfectly tidy and was correctly applied by Tyler Walsh in that instance. It was a cynical foul denying a clear goalscoring opportunity. There was no attempt whatsoever to tackle cleanly or to try play the ball. What more do you want?

Nobody seems to be doing that though for some reason. Even Diarmaid Byrnes taking one against Kilkenny the last day - for his style of free-taking he should have been standing 10 yards back from the line and just walloped it.
