NCAA Football 2014/15

What a fuck up from Ole Miss, surely that should have been a face mask call? Very harsh on them going in 14-3 down at HT.

Ole Miss go and tie the game! 5.29 left in the 4th.

OMG!!! Fumble on the return and Ole Miss have possession on Alabamaā€™s 31ā€¦ 5.21 to go.

Touchdown!!! On 3 &10ā€¦ 2.54 to goā€¦ Ole Miss deserve thisā€¦ They only go and miss the extra pointā€¦ Roughness on the kicker leads to another kick which is blocked down.

God bless America.

Defense! Defense!Defense!

My nerves are shot

Interception!!

We win!!! Epic stuff

Fantastic scenes

Ranked teams 2,3,4,6 and 8 lost this week

How do they decide the rankings?

Absolute mayhem at the weekend. The world has been turned on itā€™s head. Itā€™s impossible to know where to start.

Among the madness Washington State QB Connor Halliday set a NCAA FBS single game passing record by slinging it 734 yards against California. But it was all for nothing as the Cougers missed a 19 yard field goal in the final seconds to end up losing 60-59.

The PAC 12 is wide open, UCLA were sitting pretty until a 46 yard Hail Mary from Arizona State QB Mike Bercovici as time expired gave the Sun Devils an implausible 38-34 win

Arizona are now the only unbeaten team in the PAC 12 after they sensationally beat #2 Oregon last Thursday. They face USC next and the PAC 12 is looking at the real possibility of a two loss team winning the title. Will it be enough to get them in the play offs though, itā€™s looking grim for them Iā€™d say.

Iā€™ll attempt to make some sense of the other conferences tomorrow.

At the moment they are using a combo of coaches polls, AP etc, nothing official. The new system being used to determine the 4 play off teams is outlined hereā€¦

Their first rankings will be released on October 28th. With all the shocks so far this season, itā€™s bound to be hugely controversial.

Sensational news from Georgia. Heisman favourite Todd Gurley has been suspended by the Bulldogs, it allegedly involves memorabilia and likeness issues, ie heā€™s been flogging his autograph. Word is heā€™s done for the season, massive setback for Georgia, his Heisman prospects in the bin, but it shouldnā€™t hurt his draft stock at all.

As one Heisman candidate falls another emerges in the SEC. Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott, whose head coach was Floridaā€™s OC when Tebow was playing, is now firmly a front runner after the Bulldogā€™s destruction of Texas A+M last week. The #3 Bulldogs entertain #2 Auburn at 8:30 on ESPN tonight.

Miss state up by 2 TDs on auburn already. Some atmosphere at those sec games.

21-0 now, Mississippi State have been superb so far. #9 TCU are leading #5 Baylor 14-0 in Waco.

Christ. Auburn miss a handy field goal to get some points on the board. 21-0 and state moving again. Could be red Rover by the end of the first quarter

Auburn stop Mississippi State, who then try a fake punt only to have it intercepted, pure madness and theyā€™ve handed the Tigers a great chance to get into the game

That was mental. State go for a fake punt on their own 30 or so. Utterly dumb
