Netflix

Ah, that’s a much different one so. The one I watched was on over the past week or two on BBC I think. Dreadful, fast forwarded through most of it. Thought it was gonna be a nostalgic look back so started watching it with the eldest lad. That was short lived.

Shilton as we already know of course, is a massive arsehole. Poor ol Gazza

The bastard son and the devil himself is suprisingly watchable

This sounds very good.

I bloody love football history programmes.

Particularly with ‘a bunch of Yugoslavs’.

Is it not Channel 4 ?

That was another documentary series. Focus on hooliganism in the run up to and including Italia 90.

1989 I assume?

Yes - it is very good. Graham did a number on King Kenny that night.

Arsenal very respectful around Hillsboro as well and that was appreciated by the Kop. Nigel Winterburn was almost in tears on the documentary talking about the tragedy itself.

No. There’s a new show called 1899 about an immigrant boat and strange goings on

Oh - apologies.

The 1989 documentary was on Sky I think.

They were saying that if the Yugoslavians had won the world cup the Yugoslav war may never have happened. The tempestuous scenes in a warm up game beforehand makes me think they it might have delayed it by like a day.

There was a brilliant one about Ronaldo on BBC 4 the other night. I tuned in 20 minutes or so into. A 90 minute production finishing on the 2002 world cup final.

I never realised one of the players families got death threats if he took to the pitch and played in the Q Final.

@mickee321 would be the tfk expert on this subject

Yep. There’s three series. Best start at series 1. They stand alone, but there’s a bit of flow through.
