Yea, I was against losing the hoop, but when there was success it just seemed nuts to go back. Look I’m not fooling myself by saying thats the reason, but yknow, couldnt hurt…
Donegal O Neills jersey was top notch, the Azzurri kit is slop. Spot my theme on kit manufacturers. Dublins one at the moment is a lil too soccer for my liking, GAA shirts should hace collars.

Yep, the change is refereeing kits helped them, but the black is a nice kit, even if the azzurri one is slop.
The current Dublin one is desperate altogether. Some of the jersey designs over the past few years have been rank. Stupid flashes across the jersey and all that kind of stuff. No style at all. Keep it simple and stylish should be the aim. The retro jerseys are pretty good, have the Dublin 1976 one and I’d either wear that or my battered 1993 Keith Barr number 6 jersey (the Arnotts sign is completely peeled off at this stage) to a match.
The Kerry jersey is always top notch, more to do with the fact that its got good colours and they don’t stray too far. Carlow have by far the worst, but this years one was a step up at least.
The current Kerry one is a decent enough effort, simple enough. The one from 06 to '08 was fairly manky with that big gold stripe over the shoulder. The Adidas one they had around '98/'99 was class looking as well.
This was a class jersey.

Azzuris new jerseya are a marked improvement, i believe they are getting stuff done elsewhere, or are getting better materials in or something. The new De La Salle and New York new one’s are lovely.
Thing is, i was getting jerseys recently for a team, a young team, and what they think is cool is very different to what alot of the age group on here would, and azzuri are heading more towards what the young fellas want, ultimately thats going to be big for them.

O’Neills must have made and still make some money out of the GAA. They have a monopoly on the footballs and more or less the same on the jersies.
