Best of luck to Notts County tonight

Tremendous looking place, but theres no real outstanding effect to it is there? Many people try to do something different, instead of your regular flat pack stadia.

Either way I predict Il Pinturicchio to score the first goal there

Lee Hughes has just become the first ever visiting player to score at Juve’s new stadium.

What was the capacity of the old stadium? This one is only 40k or something which seems small for a club of their size.

hey tubby- i dont comment on wexford gga- keep your inane ramblings away from Calcio threads

They will do well to fill it, the old one was 60k+ but would often only be a quarter full, very few of those living in Turin support Juve, Torino are the local team and Juve get their support from all over the country, which leads to meagre enough crowds despite a big fan base

Something in around 60k to 70k.

Juventus don’t have a big following in and around Turin I believe, although I think they are the best supported team in Italy. The Delle Alpi was also meant to have been a dump for watching matches, poor line of sight and far away from the pitch. I may be wrong here, but I think Juventus are now the first Serie A club who own their stadium, rather than renting it off the council, this is one of the main reasons why Italian clubs are lagging behind in financial power compared to the English clubs etc.

Go fuck yourself you tiresome cunt.

Thanks chewy. If only all rebranded posters could be so helpful.

rocko can be quite the cunt sometimes

+1

Has he got back to you on any of your reported posts yet?

what happened the blog in the end

no although i do hope he takes farmer aside and takes him to task over his comment

He needs to look at some of his own posts first. One rule for some and another for others.

Anyway, apologies for taking this thread off topic. It looks like a fine stadium

Thats not entirely true puke. Juve have indeed national support in Italy, but still have a massive fan base in Turin. The issue with the last stadium is well documented and has to do with where it was situated and a related protest. Many fans swore they’d never go to the old stadium ever again, and you know the way Italians are. Now ironically enough a large minority are expected to stay away from the new stadium for the same reason. Now thats Italy at its finest

i dont want my hatred for southerners to shine through but juve fans in turin are migrants from the south that came to the north in the 50’s . they still have that lazy non sensical attitude of the southerners- sometimes when I leave Rome to go south & I see the antics of the southerners I think to myself are these my compatriots-am i still in Italy

Kinda similar to me walking through Northbridge last sunday night.

are you in perth now kev,it must be teeming with paddies now, every cunt i know thats gone to oz is in perth

ya, its a farce, kinda ruins a great city in a way, but it has its positives too. There will be at least 8 Gaelic Football teams next year, possibly more. Its handy enough to get away from it all though on the train to a beach.

Its wall to wall with knacker dubs.
