Their lead singer was a cracker back in the day and they had some decent tunes.

People know Sarah Cracknell as Saint Etienne’s singer.
But she isn’t the singer on by far their best known song, Only Love Can Break Your Heart, which is a Neil Young song but it’s one of those cover versions which are so different and better than the original that it becomes the cover artist’s song.
The singer on that song is Moira Lambert. But Moira Lambert doesn’t appear in the video for the song, which is what people remember about that song, and they specifically remember the girl in the video.
The girl in the video is Lucy Gillie, who was a little known singer herself at the time in a group called Golden. Another member of Golden, Celina Nash, appears on the cover of Saint Etienne’s album Foxbase Apha.
Lucy moved to Scotland and became an environmental scientist. Here’s Lucy in her 2020s role as the manager of Glasgow environmental group South Seeds.

If you could find a picture of Vinnie Jones cooking while wearing an Ireland away jersey on BBC 1’s Pebble Mill lunchtime telly show on St. Patrick’s Day 1994 that would be great thanks.

I’ve heard of Jens Lehmann but I’ve never heard of Jens Lekman.
I’ve heard of Voodoo Ray and Angela Ray and Battered Ray and chips at Burdocks but not Fever Ray.
I’ve heard of the Deftones but I couldn’t tell you any of their songs.
I’ve heard of Sabrina Carpenter and can tell you two of her songs.
