Red line and green line run on different tracks basically…so they can never join properly as tram from green can’t run on red line and vice versa

There are too many (albeit decreasing) people listening to too much talk radio in this country. Ration your exposure to it , try more Lyric FM , audio books or BBC 4 and you will feel a lot better . Read a bit more as you tend to think more rationally when reading .

Yes. So they are now “joining” the two lines but in fact it’s just an interchange so you will change from green to red at the interchange …no tram will run on both
I think, but open to correction, that they built one of lines along the route of old tram system and used some sections of line and that’s why it happened

Yes exactly like that. New York is a slightly different scale to Dublin though pal. Do you think using two different line gauges on the only two lines in the city for a system built in the last 20 years was a good idea?
Green line was designed as metro line. Once by harcourt it is a straight train line. Allows Longer trams. Red line more twists and turns so shorter trams. Trams are interchangeable but green allows longer trams is the reason
It made sense to do what they did.

Different - I explained why I thought.
We do lots of stuff wrong in this country but the Luas has worked really well. Joining it may cause issues in terms of how they manage rolling stock and capacity/will they stagger stops/terminus but we will see.

There was a wan on yesterday evening on the drivetime show and it was excruciating to listen to. I actually rushed over to the wireless to turn it off and continued my cooking in blissful silence. She was feigning being overexcited and girly and her voice went to a level only dogs can hear at one stage.
I’ve resorted to Today FM in the mornings while I’m getting ready now. Listening to Caul Pollins butcher another sports report every day is doing nothing for my morning start.
Did you hear Dempsey talking about songs that brought back memories? Pollins one inspired him to take up journalism, and Ian said how “he’s being down well at it for the last couple of years”.
He made some lame joke this morning about Dempsey knowing nothing about sport and I found myself shouting at the radio. “At least Dempsey hasn’t made a career out of it you cunt”
