Rarely listen to Newstalk anymore but when I do, you really realise how brutal it is. The forced banter, the constant appeals for people to text on 53106, the non stop adverts.

I’d occasionally switch over from Morning Ireland if they had an especially dull segment, which they had this morning about a lad in Carlow who has a passion for growing trees.
I’m usually a MArty man but he now has a terrible feature where he plays people’s Whatsapp messages to the show which annoys me. Thankfully, I’m pretty much finished* in the Berlingo til about september so I won’t have to listen to anyone.

Pat Kenny’s got a fair handy number with Newstalk, seems to have taken the summer off altogether, he hasn’t been on in months.

It’s gone to the dogs. OTB AM has replaced my morning walk/cycle commute or else Radio 1 if I’m in the car. Coleman and that fucking gimp Cuddihy are unbearable. Might listen to a bit of Yatesy on walk/cycle commute home but usually end up turning it off. I’ve gone from a big fan of OTB to thinking a lot of it is very meh. The biggest joke is yer wan Ciara Kelly though. Fuck me, that is as bad as it gets. A lunchtime radio show that is a phone in for women to talk about their periods or abortion or cancer with yer wan chiming in every 2 minutes with faux outrage or sympathy.
Pat Kenny is still very good in fairness whenever he turns up for work.
That Cuddihy is a special kind of spastic you tend to find only in Ireland
And most of them have or had jobs in Newstalk.
I see they’ve reheated that pox Sarah Carey and are serving her up again.
