I thought the meet and greet with the fans outside Parkhead was very clinical and cold.

Just looked like a lad going though the motions.

Managers go to Glasgow Celtic to get a few handy leagues won and then look for a move to bigger club like Derby or Ipswich maybe.

There’s only one direction you can ever go after leaving Liverpool, and that’s down.

With the single exception of Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers has now made it to the top of both of football’s twin towers.

It’s a day of football history. This is the first time ever that a man has accomplished the career feat of being made permanent manager of both Liverpool and Celtic. It’s a proud day for our country that that man is an Irishman.

Having achieved such an incredible feat of football history merely by being appointed, winning next year’s European Cup on the 50th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions should be a walk in the park for Brendan.
