Oh and Liverpool are paying about half his salary as well.

Or someone who couldnāt get Roy Keane. I think Rodgers is a great signing and will do great things there.

Best of luck to Brendan, I think a lot of his good work in improving Liverpools style etc. was overlooked due to the fact that heās a bit spoofy and he spent Ā£300 million on a lot of dross.
(In fairness a lot of Liverpools better performers also came in under his watch, Sturridge, Sahko, Countinho, Firminho). He certainly has a style of player, flaky skillful types.
Be interesting to see what he can do with fuck all budget.
Iām not sure how involved he was in the transfers anyway - seemed to be part of a committee. But he certainly vastly improved Liverpool and I think they were far too quick to decide they should move on from him, notwithstanding the good coach they have now (who didnāt manage to finish as high up the table as Rodgers).
In Kloppoās defence Rodgers left some awful dross behind him.
Liverpool couldnāt defend though

But if he didnāt buy the players then Rodgers over-achieved with that bunch.

Rodgers like avb was blessed to have a world class player in his team and was smart enough to build his own whole team around him and play to all of his strengths. He did buy a lot of crap but after he was sacked that Liverpool transfer committee seemed to claim every successful transfer As one of theirs and all the crap ones like benteke as Rodgers. He did a good job with Swansea with a smaller budget all the same.
