Celtic need three points on Sunday so there won’t be any announcement but the new man will be in the stands for sure. All points to your 10am Monday announcement. Although does that have to be announced via the stock exchange so might be a bit earlier?
I think that stock exchange thing only happens sometimes. It’s an odd one but I think the requirement for it is overstated. Nobody told the stock exchange that Rodgers was going to resign after Desmond shouted at him for example.

Ooofffttt.
I’ve looked up this proposed next Celtic manager…
He certainly has the look of a lad who, when you’re ordered to run 10 laps will ensure you do them honestly….A mildly fearsome looking guy.
One for the lookalike thread with p diddy
This manager process has been as bad as any transfer window in recent memory. Clueless
If Diddy was high as a kite and it’s a mug shot
Give it to o neil to the cup final at least
@Cheasty you’ll surely enjoy the clip of O’Neill taking a call from his old TALKsport/TalkSPORT gang earlier.
Great banter
MON deserves to get cup final. They should have dragged this out
I haven’t heard it but I’m well acquainted with Martin’s interviews and his (razor sharp) brand of humour on the broadsheet podcast circuit.
I particularly liked his joke on the Second Captains live podcast which was recorded just 2 or 3 weeks before his return to Celtic.
He was talking about how as a six year old he was brought to the 1958 All-Ireland football final between Dublin and Derry where his 19 year old brother was a substitute on the Derry team.
This led him into a joke where he said “I come from a big family and we’re very spread out age wise. I’m 73, but I have an older sister who’s 94. And I have a younger sister who’s 5.”
I nearly broke me hole laughing at this.
Speaking to the media a while ago to preview tomorrow night’s game, Martin O’Neill has confirmed it WILL DEFINITELY be his last match in charge.
He might have told the gag about the man from a big family….
Never got to sleep in a bed by himself until he got married……
Nancy arrived into London this evening & Celtic have briefed the media that he’ll be taking training on Thursday morning. I’m not sure if he’ll be at the match tomorrow night, let alone introduced to the crowd. But I suspect he’ll be getting the behind the scenes tour of Lennoxtown & the training facility generally during the day when focus is more on Celtic Park ahead of the match. Unveiling to the media as new Celtic manager then on Thursday.
When will they bring him out for a deep fried Mars Bar?
And a feed of Irn Bru!
Rumours of reduced compensation for a deal done after 1st December must have been true.
Hopefully M O’N will sign off with another win tonight. What a difference it’s been since the rat has gone.
Trusty has been super but the biggest difference has been Callum McGregor. At the start of the season it looked like his legs were gone and he had enough. 7 games later and he’s back to his best.
The rat was poisonous.
