It’s a perfect fit really. Let bygones be bygones
It was fucking terrible the way they ran onto the pitch that time.
Which time ?
Fir Park.
The next excuse to ban the GB/ Bhoys when they oppose the appointment as well
Stephen Glass on the ticket as well @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy . Dublin hoops won’t have fond memories of that man. This is ridiculous
Robbie Keane would be an utterly disastrous appointment and we all know why.
Martin O’Neill would likely be asked to come back AGAIN when Keane works out disastrously but it would be too late as Rangers would likely already have an insurmountable lead.
If Keane is appointed it’s almost impossible to see Rangers not cruising to the title next season and Celtic as a club will be torn apart.
I would much prefer Wilfried Nancy comes back as manager than have Keane.
In short, fuck off Robbie you poisonous, apartheid propping up cunt.
Malahide csc up in arms at local man getting the job
MARTIN O’Neill will resolve the uncertainty over his Celtic future when he meets with controlling shareholder Dermot Desmond this week.
The Parkhead club have also discussed the manager’s post with Robbie Keane, a free agent since he quit his role at Ferencvaros last week.
Craig Bellamy was another candidate schedued to meet with the Parkhead hierarchy. Also a target for Burnley the Wales manager appeared to distance himself from an imminent move into club management when he spoke ahead of a friendly clash with Ghana in Cardiff.
O’Neill remains the apparent frontrunner for the post after opening talks with Desmond over another year or two in charge.
The interim boss is taking time to consider his position after completing a league and cup double and the two men will speak again this week. Agreement on the final details have yet to be thrashed out.
Keane held discussions over the role last night while Bellamy was prepared to utilise former boss O’Neill as an experienced sounding board if he landed the post, but now appears to have pledged his commitment to Wales ahead of the Euro 2028 finals.
“Everything’s in place,” he said. “I get completely backed and it’s going to give me the opportunity in the next two years to improve again.
"Links? I understand it but I don’t look too far. I love what I have here.
"I’ve been offered that elsewhere as well, but I have this here already. Wales gave me this opportunity and one or two might not have because I was conscious I haven’t managed before. Wales have given me this opportunity and I’m really grateful for that.
“I am ambitious, trust me. I want to earn loads and loads of money but there’s a time and now, at this present moment, it just doesn’t feel that time.”
I feel a bit sorry for auld Robbie. He was in a no win situation there.
Israel hadn’t invaded before he got there.
After the October attacks there was a lot of good will towards them. Like it wouldn’t have been sane to resign the day of the attack for example. So at what point did it become the right decision. He got out of there at the seasons end.
The worm has certainly turned since then and it looks bad in hindsight, but I don’t think it’s fair to hold Robbie to higher standards than their own Government for example.
Now he should never have gone there in the first place. But he was a man trying to forge a managerial career, and didn’t wait to be handed something local, was willing to travel to get experience.
Robbie can get to fuck.
Surely Glasgow Celtic fans have to back the judgment of Mr Desmond, who has delivered the most sustained era of domestic success in the history of the club.
Claudia did him no favours.
But he rammed the FAI for money long before all of that
Israel had been committing plenty of reprehensible acts well before October 2023 so I agree he shouldn’t have gone there. The crowd he went to are a particularly vile club with a far right support that @mickee321 was even afraid of. It’s a curious path he’s taken alright. I think he’s represented by Wasserman or whatever they’re called now & he’s also close to this Paul Kemsley (spelling?) millionaire/billionaire ex Spurs director & vice chairman. It’s almost like he’s been dropped into these random clubs & presumably getting huge money. I find it hard to believe he wouldn’t have been able to get a gig in England or Scotland when you see some of the recently retired lads picking up jobs. I always defended Keane as a player when muldoons wanted him to be more like Stephen Hunt on the pitch but the snippets Claudine & himself put on their socials make them out to be completely vacuous dopes.
There was always something intangibly unlikeable about him. Proper muldoons have a 6th sense about this type of thing. He had everything going for him to be a proper Irish legend in terms of his phenomenal level of goal scoring for Ireland and even his cheeky flamboyant flicks and tricks playing style but he just never was.
The muldoons knew and now everybody is on board.
I actually do feel sorry for him though.
Robbie really dirtied his bib when he named Naziyathu as his favourite boyhood war criminal prime minister, not on Robbie!
You are correct about that kemsley chap. He’s his first agent and close friend.
He still is a legend. His playing career will stand the test of time, especially the 02 world cup.
When you consider his dedication to the Irish team compared to his namesake from cork in terns of caps and always turning up that tells a lot.
So is DJ Carey
