The next league game is at home to Liverpool, 3 days before the second leg… Do you rest players if you are Moyes? The league is fucked and the only way they get CL football next year is if they win the comp. A loss at home to Liverpool and a12/13 point gap would be unbearable for the fans tho…poor David. He’ll have to go all out to win both.

I didn’t see the match last night but here’s some post-match comments from Moyes I pulled from the Guardian.

yeah, all this talk of united will score 3 against this crowd (olympiakos) no hassle at OT, yes that may be the case but with Smalling and Ferdinand at the back you will also concede, then they will need four.
I fully expect the Greeks to pull thru this, Liverpool will beat United emphatically and Moyes could well be sacked…
the other scenario is Olympiakos beat United but then out of nowhere United will beat Liverpool 4-1 at OT ending their title challenge , all will suddenly be right with the world and David will survive
