David Moyes.

chelsea didnt have the same tactics did they? Barca carved them open on numerous occasions and just could not score. it was nothing to do with good tactics, just pure luck and hanging in and getting there in the end in 2 games they should have been battered in. Inter parked the bus alright, and defended manfully, in similar style to teams that have defeated Barca this year. That Utd victory was over a different team with a different style. how you can say they showed others how to beat them is pushing it, by a long distance.

So now the goalposts move to being held scoreless. In that case, Il Bomber Destro is correct and Celtic keeping them scoreless over two legs in 2004 under the Rijkaard managed team must be the template. Youā€™re some clown, in fairness.

Ehā€¦hardly. Heā€™d won a European trophy with Aberdeen defeating Bayern Munich and Real Madrid on the way and ended the Celtic/Rangers dominance in Scotland so thatā€™s quite a bit different to Frank Oā€™Farrell.

His best managerial achievements were with Aberdeen in my opinion.

his achievements in Scotland can be classed as slightly better than JimMclean

Without reading back over all your tripe- You are saying Fergie tried to contain Barcelona by playing two banks of 4 and you think that mind blowing tactic should be celebrated ? Liverpool went out and beat the then champions of Europe, pal. Donā€™t forget the difference. Rafa = Tactical genius. Fergie = Shitty bastard.

seriously how do you reckon that??..keeping them scoreless shows the limited chances Barca created due to fergieā€™s tactics !! he limited the chances by conceding possession further up the pitchā€¦that was my point all along!!! that hasnā€™t changedā€¦barca have been using tika taka for yearsā€¦ which bit of this has changed in my argument??..where have the goalspost moved??..please highlightā€¦

Gman you are rightā€¦Chelsea was a bad exampleā€¦while Barcaā€™s game has evolved under different managers which I have never denied Iā€™m talking about the overall tika taka style that Fergie combatted in that particular encounterā€¦

:D:D
Without reading back over all your tripe that bit jumped out at me straight awayā€¦enough said

myoofc shares plummeting on the NYSE.

Steve Stauntonā€™s odds have been slashed into 2/1 to be the next manager of Manchester United ā€¦

Mark Robins would be a popular choice. As the man who saved Fergieā€™s job, itā€™s only fair he should get it all these years later.

Thought that was Lee Martin?

martin got the winner in FA cup final replay ā€¦robins grabbed the winner in an earlier round against forestā€¦if fergie had lost that game he was gone apparentlyā€¦

It was during this game that he first flirted with the now famous 4-4-1 tactic, that he would destroy Barcelona with many years later.

the very game ā€¦:D:D
and carlos Querioz nowhere to be seenā€¦

another player was also on the missing list if my maths are correctā€¦

Martin Edwards has now said that Fergie would not have been sacked if they had lost to Forest but that it would have been very difficult not to sack him if theyā€™d lost the final to Palace.

Kate Abdo from Sky Deutschland giving her speel now.
