whilst acknowledging the achievements of promotion achieved by Davy and his Wexican army before the half way stage in the competition, I am putting forward Padraig Boyle from Kerry as the Division 1B player of the player of the week, a hat trick of goals today on a team that that was trounced. In fact I am putting him forward as 1B player of the season to date. He got a few goals v Laois as well.
Throw us the aul win there if yer already sorted by the final game, just to piss Offaly off.

Result had nothing to do with the ref today by any stretch but A Wexford lad did fire his hurl at Flynn when he was bearing down on goal, I could be wrong but I was under the assumption that’s an automatic peno? Also David Burke had his wrists clattered in the first half, no attempt for the ball. Got the yellow but I’ve seen lads walk for it. Davy has certainly brought a bit of edge to Wexford hurling no doubt about that.
What was also noticeable was how they finished out both halves, easily the fitter team to a man. The question is how long can they maintain that sharpness into the Summer as other counties start hitting their stride in earnest. It’s all about getting the basics right as far as Davy is concerned this season

I’m not overy concerned but same old pattern from Galway. Second half collapse. Maybe Wexford are far ahead fitness wise but it looks like every team is during the summer too.
