Laois the home team change jersey tonight v Tipp
Saw that and commented on it. Thought it was strange but that is laois for you
The association more like. I accept your apology
Waterford were simply too good for us in yesterday’s challenge game to mark the opening of Kilmore GAA club’s new facilities. It finished something like 0-22 to 1-13 according to my source. The game clarified who’s still knocking around the panel - our starting team was:
Oliver O’Leary;
Andrew Kenny, Willie Devereux, Eoin Conroy;
Shane O’Gorman, Aaron Maddock, Anthony Roche;
Eanna Martin, Damien Reck;
Kevin Foley, Jack Guiney, David Dunne;
Cathal Dunbar, Gary Moore, Nicky Kirwan.
Kerry at home in Innovate Wexford Park on Sunday for the table toppers.
HE COULD BE A GREAT DUBLIN MAN
I make that Reck, Maddock and Kehoe for Moore, Nolan and Carton. None of the 3 replaced players are on the bench so are presumably injured. Some changes in the subs too, including Guiney’s first appearance in the 26 during the league.
Played some excellent counter attacking hurling against the storm in the first half there.
7-7 in Innovate Wexford Park at the break.
Not a great display by Wexford today. Played well enough against the strong wind for most of the first half, strung some very good moves together carrying the ball forward but the final pass for a goal opportunity went astray or the attempt was hit wide.
Too much wasteful shooting in the second half and the general play and first touch was a bit sloppy collectively.
Still, everyone knew as far back as last autumn when the fixtures were released that Galway in matchweek 2 was the promotion decider so it was always going to be tricky to get up for Kerry at home after the decisive win out west.
I guess Guiney’s return and 1-1 contribution was the main positive. The backs were solid enough but Chin, McDonald and Morris have had better days upfront.
Apparently Kerry had a lad sent off pal. Did you know that?
Think that was when I was minding your son’s fire engine when he took you to the bathroom during the second half. A wild swing back on someone.
Delighted to report that Davy Fitzgerald (or Davy Fitzhenry as Alan Corcoran was calling him on South East Radio) has taken to referring to Wexford and the players as “we” and “us” instead of “they” and “them”.
The first cheque obviously cleared so …
Wexford can seal promotion with a win away to Offaly in round 4. @corner_back - any decent pub in walking distance to O’Connor Park that would be showing the Glasgow derby at midday on Sunday?
Dooley is some man for the frees, they’ve v little else in the forwards unfortunately.
I hope Offaly make a game of it.
I think that’s an unchanged starting lineup from last week. Aidan Nolan and Barry Carton are back on the bench but Eoin Moore is still out.
The new PRO continues to savage the English language with this latest introduction paragraph.
Thanks.
Pile on the 10 handicap
vitally important they play canning in games like these, getting daithi used to playing three positions simultaneously also
That is a great galway team how the fuck are ye in 1B
Because like limerick, they’d fucking stab each other rather than hurl with each other
