You still have to disclose directors remuneration under the new Companies Act. I also think the new financial reporting standards make you report all related party transactions no matter your size.
Hayden should have called Bressie.
LOL.
They’re obliged to disclose directors’ remuneration under the new Act pal. @Tim_Riggins is on the ball. It’s been flagrantly abused though and the disclosure has been omitted left right and centre in audit exempt accounts. The only way they’d be caught out is if someone reported the directors to the ODCE for not disclosing. The ODCE would then force them to file correct accounts I’d proffer. Or hit them with a fine and/or JAIL.
FRS 102 requires key management remuneration to be disclosed - another cunt of a thing - I’m sure this kills the likes of @Bandage in the IFRS FS of a random plc.
The only solution for them is to re-register as an unlimited company and not file at all.
The unlimited exemption died at midnight 30th December 2015.
Will be interesting to see what Dunnes come up with to get around that one. EY will be busy.
You’re getting mixed up with the unlimited non-filing structures.
If you’re unlimited and have unlimited ownership you don’t have to file.
The likes of Dunnes and the meat empires have blockers in place to be unlimited yet limited. Means they don’t have to file but don’t have unlimited liability.
There are solutions floating around but the actual law hasn’t been enacted yet so there’s no certainty until the government transpose EU Directive 2013/34 into Irish law.
Company Law on tfk. This is Nirvana.
Where can you find a safe commercial purpose for single company with pure unlimited liability?
So many Irish operations have simple structures running out to Jersey / Isle of Man and back to prevent competitors/suppliers/customers/unions/employees/neighbours & family of the owner/banks/legals seeing what they have (or dont have in a lot of cases). The proposed change has certainly upset a lot of people
Is that a rhetorical question there?
There is one very easy thing you could do that will probably get them another year of their current status.
Anyone that was a sole trader and only incorporated for tax purposes shouldn’t be too concerned about going unlimited.
I am an observer, thankfully, rather than participating in it. I know a few looking at the particular problem. 30 Dec year-end dates were put in place.
If Bressie hanged himself, would be a good or a bad thing for this thread?
I wonder what TFKers haven’t made the necessary disclosures?
It would be an excellent thing for Ashling Thompson, Conor Cusack and Pat Divilly.
More Government cash for schools and organisations to fund speakers would be reasonable
Just saw an ad for Claire Byrne Live (tonight at 10.35pm). Richie Sadlier will have a special report on the importance of adolescents staying mentally fit. I advised you chaps last year that this creep wanted a slice of Bressie’s pie.
Is “mental fitness” the new jargon in the trade?
Richie on now making his pitch.
Richie’s experiences of getting schooled by Chippy should help him in this debate
I see Niall Quinn is jumping on Bressie’s bandwagon
Your not serious?
